أُ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَرَاهُ فَأَسْبَغَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ زُرْبِيٍّ الْوُضُوءَ ثَلَاثاً ثَلَاثاً كَمَا أَمَرَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَمَا تَمَّ وُضُوؤُهُ حَتَّى بَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمَنْصُورُ فَدَعَاهُ
قَالَ فَقَالَ دَاوُدُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ دَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ رَحَّبَ فَقَالَ يَا دَاوُدُ قِيلَ فِيكَ شَيْءٌ بَاطِلٌ وَ مَا أَنْتَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ اطَّلَعْتُ عَلَى طَهَارَتِكَ وَ لَيْسَ طَهَارَتُكَ طَهَارَةَ الرَّافِضَةِ فَاجْعَلْنِي فِي حِلٍّ وَ أَمَرَ لَهُ بِمِائَةِ أَلْفِ دِرْهَمٍ
قَالَ فَقَالَ دَاوُدُ الرَّقِّيُّ لَقِيتُ أَنَا دَاوُدَ بْنَ زُرْبِيٍّ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ لَهُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ زُرْبِيٍّ جَعَلَنِيَ اللَّهُ فِدَاكَ حَقَنْتَ دِمَاءَنَا فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا وَ نَرْجُو أَنْ نَدْخُلَ بِيُمْنِكَ وَ بَرَكَتِكَ الْجَنَّةَ
فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَعَلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ بِكَ وَ بِإِخْوَانِكَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع لِدَاوُدَ بْنِ زُرْبِيٍّ حَدِّثْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّيَّ بِمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْكَ حَتَّى تَسْكُنَ رَوْعَتُهُ فَقَالَ فَحَدَّثَهُ بِالْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ
فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع لِهَذَا أَفْتَيْتُهُ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَشْرَفَ عَلَى الْقَتْلِ مِنْ يَدِ هَذَا الْعَدُوِّ
ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا دَاوُدَ بْنَ زُرْبِيٍّ تَوَضَّأْ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَ لَا تَزِدَنَّ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ زِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَا صَلَاةَ لَكَ.
Zurby perfected the wud’u, three by three, like what Abu Abdullah-asws had instructed him. He had not completed his wud’u until Abu Ja’far Al-Mansour sent someone to him and called him. He (the narrator) said, ‘Dawood said, ‘When I entered to him, he was welcoming. He said, ‘O Dawood! Something false had been said regarding you, and you are not like that. I am notified upon your cleansing and your cleansing is not the cleansing of the rejectors (Rafizis/Shias)’. He made me to be in a release’. And he ordered one hundred Dirhams for him. He (the narrator) said, ‘Dawood Al-Raqqy said, ‘I met Dawood Bin Zurby being in the presence of Abu Abdullah-asws. Dawood Bin Zurby said to him-asws, ‘May Allah-azwj Make me to be sacrificed for you-asws! You-asws saved our blood in the house of the world, and we hope that we shall be entering the Paradise by your-asws conferment and your-asws blessings’. Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘Allah-azwj Did that with you and with your brother from the entirety of the Momineen’. Abu Abdullah-asws said to Dawood Bin Zurby: ‘Have you narrated to Dawood Al-Raqqy with what had transpired upon you until his fear subsides? ’ He said, ‘I have narrated to him with matter, all of it’. Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘It is for this reason I-asws had issued a verdict to him. He was overlooking upon being killed from the hand of this enemy! ’
Then he-asws said: ‘O Dawood Bin Zurby! Perform wud’u two by two, and do not increase upon it, for if you were to increase upon it, there would be no Salat for you’’. [255]
