His Supplication for Well-Being
Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya · Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS)
رِكَ وَ ذِكْرِكَ وَ حُسْنِ الثَّنَاءِ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانِي ، وَ اشْرَحْ لِمَرَاشِدِ دِينِكَ قَلْبِي. 6. وَ أَعِذْنِي وَ ذُرِّيَّتِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ السَّامَّةِ وَ الْهَامَّةِ و الْعَامَّةِ وَ اللَّامَّةِ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيدٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ سُلْطَانٍ عَنِيدٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ مُتْرَفٍ حَفِيدٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ضَعِيفٍ وَ شَدِيدٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَرِيفٍ وَ وَضِيعٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ صَغِيرٍ وَ كَبِيرٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ قَرِيبٍ وَ بَعِيدٍ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ مَنْ نَصَبَ لِرَسُولِكَ وَ لِأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ حَرْباً مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ. 7. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ ، وَ مَنْ أَرَادَنِي بِسُوءٍ فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي ، وَ ادْحَرْ عَنِّي مَكْرَهُ ، وَ ادْرَأْ عَنِّي شَرَّهُ ، وَ رُدَّ كَيْدَهُ فِي نَحْرِهِ. 8. وَ اجْعَلْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ سُدّاً حَتَّى تُعْمِيَ عَنِّي بَصَرَهُ ، وَ تُصِمَّ عَنْ ذِكْرِي سَمْعَهُ ، وَ تُقْفِلَ دُونَ إِخْطَارِي قَلْبَهُ ، وَ تُخْرِسَ عَنِّي لِسَانَهُ ، وَ تَقْمَعَ رَأْسَهُ ، وَ تُذِلَّ عِزَّهُ ، وَ تَكْسُرَ جَبَرُوتَهُ ، وَ تُذِلَّ رَقَبَتَهُ ، وَ تَفْسَخَ كِبْرَهُ ، وَ تُؤْمِنَنِي مِنْ جَمِيعِ ضَرِّهِ وَ شَرِّهِ وَ غَمْزِهِ وَ هَمْزِهِ وَ لَمْزِهِ وَ حَسَدِهِ وَ عَدَاوَتِهِ وَ حَبَائِلِهِ وَ مَصَايِدِهِ وَ رَجِلِهِ وَ خَيْلِهِ ، إِنَّكَ عَزِيزٌ قَدِيرٌ.
ing pests, swarming crowds, and evil eyes, the evil ofevery rebel satan, 2the evil of every refractory sovereign, the evil of everyone living in ease and served, the evil of everyone weak or strong, the evil of everyone born high or low, the evil of everyone small or great, the evil of everyone near or far, the evil of everyone, jinn or man, who declares war on Thy Messenger and his Household, and the evil of everycrawling creaturethat Thou hasttaken by the forelock! SurelyThou arton a straight path. 3 7- O God, bless Muhammad and his Householdand if someone desires ill for meturn him away from me, drive away from me his deception, avert from me his evil, send his trickery back to his own throat, 8- and place before him a barricade, so that Thou mayest blind his eyes toward me, deafen his ears toward my mention, lock his heart toward recalling me, silence his tongue against me, restrain his head, abase his exaltation, break his arrogance, abase his neck, disjoint his pride, and make me secure from all his injury, his evil, his slander, his backbiting, his faultfinding, his envy, his enmity, his snares, his traps, his foot soldiers, and his cavalry! Surely Thou art Mighty, Powerful!
