of Abu Abdullah-asws when Dawood-as entered. Then he extracted a bag from his sleeve and said, ‘May I be sacrificed for You-azwj! These are five hundred Dinars obligated upon me due to Your-azwj Blessings, and due to what good you-asws had taught me. Allah-azwj Opened (sustenance) upon me! And there was expansion upon me to the extent that there was wealth for me upon a man and he had withheld it from me, and he had sworn an oath with one of the judges, so he came to me after that, and I had not prayed it except three times, and he had carried to me whatever had been for me upon him, and he asked me if I could make him in release from what he handed to me, so I did that’. Al-Sadiq-asws said: ‘Praise your Lord-azwj and do not let anyone pre-occupy you from your Lord‑azwj, and check on your brothers (if they need anything)’’. [70]
Another Salat during the day of Thursday for the need – ‘One who were to have an important need for him, let him bathe on the day of Thursday at rising of the day before the midday, and let him pray two Cycles Salat, reciting in the first of these Surah Al Hamd and Ayat Al Kursy, and in the second Surah Al Hamd and end of Surah Al Hashr, and Surah Al Qadr. When he has performed Salaam, he should take the Quran and place it above his head, then he should say, ‘By the right of the one You-azwj had Sent with it to Your-azwj creatures, and by the right of every Verse of Yours-azwj in it, and by the right of every Momin You-azwj have Praised in it, and by Your-azwj Right upon You-azwj, and there is no one more recognising of Your-azwj Rights than You-azwj are! O my Master-azwj! By Allah-azwj! (ten times). By the right of Muhammad-saww (ten times). By the right of Ali-asws (ten times), and by the right of Fatima-asws (ten times). Then count each Imam-asws ten times until you end to the Imam-asws of your time – ‘Do such and such with me’, your need will be fulfilled, if Allah-azwj so Desires! ’’[71]
Another Salat for the need during the day of Thursday, from the Prophet-saww having said: ‘One who prays four Cycles Salat on the day of Thursday, reciting in the first of these Surah Al Hamd once, and Al Tawheed eleven times, and in the second Surah Al Hamd once and Al Tawheed twenty-one times, and in the second (third) Surah Al Hamd once and Al Tawheed thirty times, and in the fourth Surah Al Hamd once and Al Tawheed forty times, every two Cycles being with a Salaam. When he has performed Salaam in the fourth, he should recite Surah Al Tawheed fifty-one times, and say, ‘O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww’, fifty-one times. Then he should do Sajdah and say in his Sajdah, ‘O Allah‑azwj! O Allah-azwj! ’, one hundred times and supplicate with whatever he so desires to’.
