رَوَى جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَدْنَاهُمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ بِمِنًى فَسَمِعْتُهُ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ لَا أُلْفِيَنَّكُمْ تَرْجِعُونَ بَعْدِي كُفَّاراً يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ وَ ايْمُ اللَّهِ لَئِنْ فَعَلْتُمُوهَا لَتَعْرِفُنَّنِي فِي الْكَتِيبَةِ الَّتِي تُضَارِبُكُمْ
قَالَ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى خَلْفِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَوْ عَلِيٌّ أَوْ عَلِيٌّ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ
قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَرَأَيْنَا أَنَّ جَبْرَئِيلَ غَمَزَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى أَثَرِ ذَلِكَ فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ بِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ
وَ قِيلَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص أُرِيَ الِانْتِقَامَ مِنْهُمْ وَ هُوَ مَا كَانَ مِنْ نَقِمَةِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ.
It is reported by Jabir Bin Abdullah Al Ansari who said, ‘I was the nearest of from Rasool-Allah-saww at Mina during the farewell Hajj, and I heard him-saww saying in his-saww address: ‘Indeed! I-saww am expecting you all to be returning to be Kafirs after me-saww, someone of you striking the necks of other, and I-saww swear by Allah-azwj! If you were to do so, you will see me-saww in the battalion which strikes you! ’
He (the narrator) said, ‘Then he-saww turned to behind him-saww, then said: ‘O Ali-asws! Or Ali-asws’ – Three times. Jabir said, ‘We saw that Jibraeel-as had gestured at him-saww, and Allah-azwj Revealed upon the tracks of that: ‘So if We were to Take you away, We would still Take Revenge from them [43: 41] – by Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws’. And it is said that the Prophet-saww was shown the revenge from them, and it is what happened from the Nemesis of Allah-azwj on the day of Badr’’. [121]
