وَ أَيْضاً قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْحَدِيدِ رَوَى كَثِيرٌ مِنَ الْمُحَدِّثِينَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ع أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكَ جِهَادَ الْمَفْتُونِينَ كَمَا كَتَبَ عَلَيَّ جِهَادَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا هَذِهِ الْفِتْنَةُ الَّتِي كُتِبَ عَلَيَّ فِيهَا الْجِهَادُ قَالَ قَوْمٌ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَ هُمْ مُخَالِفُونَ لِلسُّنَّةِ
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَعَلَامَ أُقَاتِلُهُمْ وَ هُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ كَمَا أَشْهَدُ قَالَ عَلَى الْإِحْدَاثِ فِي الدِّينِ وَ مُخَالَفَةِ الْأَمْرِ
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ كُنْتَ وَعَدْتَنِي الشَّهَادَةَ فَاسْأَلِ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُعَجِّلَهَا لِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ قَالَ فَمَنْ يُقَاتِلُ النَّاكِثِينَ وَ الْقَاسِطِينَ وَ الْمَارِقِينَ أَمَا إِنِّي وَعَدْتُكَ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَ تُسْتَشْهَدُ يُضْرَبُ عَلَى هَذِهِ فَتُخْضَبُ هَذِهِ فَكَيْفَ صَبْرُكَ إِذاً
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ ذَا بِمَوْطِنِ صَبْرٍ هَذَا مَوْطِنُ شُكْرٍ قَالَ أَجَلْ أَصَبْتَ فَأَعِدَّ لِلْخُصُومَةِ فَإِنَّكَ مُخَاصَمٌ
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ بَيَّنْتَ لِي قَلِيلًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي سَتُفْتَنُ مِنْ بَعْدِي فَتَتَأَوَّلُ الْقُرْآنَ وَ تَعْمَلُ بِالرَّأْيِ وَ تَسْتَحِلُّ الْخَمْرَ بِالنَّبِيذِ وَ السُّحْتَ بِالْهَدِيَّةِ وَ الرِّبَا بِالْبَيْعِ وَ تُحَرِّفُ الْكِتَابَ عَنْ مَوَاضِعِهِ وَ تَغْلِبُ كَلِمَةَ الضَّلَالِ
فَكُنْ حِلْسَ بَيْتِكَ حَتَّى تُقَلِّدَهَا فَإِذَا قَلَّدْتَهَا جَاشَتْ عَلَيْكَ الصُّدُورُ وَ قُلِبَتْ لَكَ الْأُمُورُ تُقَاتِلُ حِينَئِذٍ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلْتُ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ فَلَيْسَتْ حَالُهُمُ الثَّانِيَةُ بِدُونِ حَالِهِمُ الْأُولَى
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَبِأَيِّ الْمَنَازِلِ أُنْزِلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْمَفْتُونِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ أَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ فِتْنَةٍ أَمْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ رِدَّةٍ فَقَالَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ فِتْنَةٍ يَعْمَهُونَ فِيهَا إِلَى أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُمُ الْعَدْلُ
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَ يُدْرِكُهُمُ الْعَدْلُ مِنَّا أَمْ مِنْ غَيْرِنَا فَقَالَ بَلْ مِنَّا بِنَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ وَ بِنَا يَخْتِمُ وَ بِنَا أَلَّفَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَ الْقُلُوبِ بَعْدَ الشِّرْكِ وَ بِنَا يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَ الْقُلُوبِ بَعْدَ الْفِتْنَةِ
فَقُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى مَا وَهَبَ لَنَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ. و قال عند قوله ع في الخطبة الشقشقية: فَلَمَّا نَهَضْتُ بِالْأَمْرِ نَكَثَتْ طَائِفَةٌ وَ مَرَقَتْ أُخْرَى وَ فَسَقَتْ آخَرُونَ.
And as well, Ibn Abi Al-Hadeed said, ‘A lot of narrators have reported from Ali-asws that Rasool-Allah-saww said to him-asws: ‘Allah-azwj has Decreed the Jihad upon you-asws against the tempted ones, just as He-azwj has Decreed upon me the Jihad against the Polytheists’. He-asws said: ‘I-asws said; ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! What is this Fitna which Allah-azwj has Decreed the Jihad upon me-asws during it? ’ He-saww said: ‘A group testifying that there is no god except Allah-azwj and that I-saww am a Rasool-saww of Allah-azwj, and they would be opposed to the Sunnah’. I-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Then upon what should I-asws be fighting them and they would be testifying just as I-asws am testifying? ’ He-saww said: ‘Upon the innovations in the religion, and opposition to the command’. I-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! You-asws have promised me-asws the martyrdom, so ask Allah-azwj to Hasten it for me-asws for it to be in front of you-saww’. He-saww said: ‘Then who will fight against the allegiance-breakers, and the deviants, and the renegades? And I-saww have promised you-asws with the martyrdom, and you-asws will be martyred by being struck upon this (head) so this (beard) would be dyed (with blood). How will your-asws patience be then? ’
I-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! That is not a situation of being patient. This is a situation of being thankful’. He-saww said: ‘Yes, you-asws are correct, so be prepared for the disputes, for you-asws will be contended’. I-asws said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! If you-saww could clarify it a little to me-asws’. He-saww said: ‘My-saww community will be Tried from after me-saww. They will interpret the Quran (wrongly), and act by their opinions, and permit the wine (by calling it) Al-Nabeez, and the ill-gotten gains by (calling it) the gift, and the usury by (calling it) then selling, and they will alter the Book from its place, and the word of straying would prevail. So, become seated in your-asws house until you-asws are collared it (caliphate). When you-asws are collared it, the chests (of the people) will boil up against you-asws, and the affairs would be overturned to you-asws. During that, you-asws will fight upon interpretation of the Quran just as I-asws am fighting upon its Revelation. There isn’t the third state for them without their former state’. I-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! So, with which status should I-asws attribute them with, these Tried ones from after you-saww, status of Fitna or status reneging? ’ He-saww said: ‘Status of Fitna. They would be blinded in it until the justice comes across them’. I-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Would the justice come to them from us-asws or from others? ’ He-saww said: ‘But, from us-asws. Allah-azwj Began with us-asws and will End with us-asws, and through us-asws Allah-azwj will Harmonise between the hearts after the Shirk, and through us-asws He-azwj will Harmonise between the hearts after the Fitna’. I-asws said: ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj upon what He-azwj has Bestowed to us-asws from His-azwj Grace’’. And he-asws said during his-asws words in the sermon of ‘Al-Shaqshaqiya’: ‘When I-asws got up with the command, a group broke (the allegiance), and another reneged, and others transgressed’’. [160]
