وَ أَيْضاً رَوَى الْوَاقِدِيُ أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرْمُوزٍ لَمَّا قَتَلَ الزُّبَيْرَ نَزَلَ فَاجْتَزَّ رَأْسَهُ وَ أَخَذَ سَيْفَهُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى بَابِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع وَ قَالَ أَنَا رَسُولُ الْأَحْنَفِ فَتَلَا عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ الَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَقَالَ هَذَا رَأْسُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَ سَيْفُهُ وَ أَنَا قَاتِلُهُ
فَتَنَاوَلَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع سَيْفَهُ وَ قَالَ طَالَمَا جَلَا بِهِ الْكَرْبَ عَنْ وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ لَكِنَّ الْحَيْنَ وَ مَصَارِعَ السَّوْءِ.
And as well it is reported by Al Waqidi (Wahabi imam), ‘Ibn Jurmuz, when he had killed Al-Zubeyr, descended and cut off his head and seized his sword, then he came until he stood at the door of Amir Al-Momineen-asws and said: ‘I am a messenger of Al-Ahnaf’, and recited this Verse unto him-asws: Those who are awaiting with you, [4: 141]. He said, ‘This is the head of Al-Zubeyr and his sword, and I am his killer’. Amir Al-Momineen-asws took his sword, and said: ‘So long as the worries are cleared by it away from the face of Rasool-Allah-azwj, but at the moment, their dying place is evil’’. [214]
