فَطَالَ مَا نَصَرْتَ وَ إِنْ تَجْعَلْ لَهُمُ الْأَمْرَ فَادَّخِرْ لَهُمْ بِمَا أَحْدَثُوا لِعِبَادِكَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ
ثُمَّ مَضَى وَ مَضَى مَعَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَدَنَا مِنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَقَالَ يَا عَمْرُو بِعْتَ دِينَكَ بِمِصْرَ فَتَبّاً لَكَ فَطَالَ مَا بَغَيْتَ الْإِسْلَامَ عِوَجاً
وَ فِي كِتَابِ نَصْرٍ ثُمَّ نَادَى عَمَّارٌ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ وَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ مَقْتَلِهِ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ عُمَرَ صَرَعَكَ اللَّهُ بِعْتَ دِينَكَ بِالدُّنْيَا مِنْ عَدُوِّ اللَّهِ وَ عَدُوِّ الْإِسْلَامِ قَالَ كَلَّا وَ لَكِنِّي أَطْلُبُ بِدَمِ عُثْمَانَ الشَّهِيدِ الْمَظْلُومِ
قَالَ كَلَّا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عِلْمِي فِيكَ أَنَّكَ أَصْبَحْتَ لَا تَطْلُبُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ فِعْلِكَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَ أَنَّكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُقْتَلِ الْيَوْمَ فَتَمُوتُ غَداً فَانْظُرْ إِذَا أَعْطَى اللَّهُ الْعِبَادَ عَلَى نِيَّاتِهِمْ مَا نِيَّتُكَ
ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي لَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ رِضَاكَ فِي أَنْ أَقْذِفَ بِنَفْسِي فِي هَذَا الْبَحْرِ لَفَعَلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي لَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ رِضَاكَ فِي أَنْ أَضَعَ ظُبَةَ سَيَفِي فِي بَطْنِي ثُمَّ أَنْحَنِيَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِنْ ظَهْرِي لَفَعَلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مِمَّا عَلَّمْتَنِي أَنِّي لَا أَعْمَلُ عَمَلًا الْيَوْمَ هَذَا هُوَ أَرْضَى لَكَ مِنْ جِهَادِ هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَاسِطِينَ وَ لَوْ أَعْلَمُ الْيَوْمَ عَمَلًا هُوَ أَرْضَى لَكَ مِنْهُ لَفَعَلْتُهُ.
edged allegiance to them. O Allah-azwj! If You-azwj Help us, then prolong the Help what You-azwj can, and if You-azwj Make the command to be for them, then Reserve for them the painful Punishment due to what they have innovated for Your-azwj servants’. Then he went, and his companions went with him. He approached Amro Bin Al-Aas and said, ‘O Amro! You sold your religion in Egypt, so perdition be for you! For long you have been making crookedness in ’’. And in the book of Nasr (the reporter), ‘Then Ammar called out to Ubeydullah Bin Umar, and that is before his killing. He said, ‘O Ibn Umar! May Allah-azwj Slay you! You have sold your religion for the world from an enemy of Allah-azwj and enemy of ’. He said, ‘Never! But I seek the blood of Usman, the martyr, the oppressed’. He said, ‘Never! I testify upon my knowledge regarding you, you have become not seeking the Face of Allah-azwj with any of your deeds, and you, if you are not killed today, then you will be dying tomorrow, so consider, when Allah-azwj Gives the servants based upon their intentions, what your intention is’. Then he said, ‘O Allah-azwj! You knew that your pleasure is in my throwing myself into this sea, I would do so. O Allah-azwj! You-azwj Know, if I knew that Your-azwj View is in my inserting my sword in my stomach, then press upon it until it comes out from my back, I would do so. O Allah-azwj! If I knew from what You-azwj have Taught me that I should not do any deed this day, it is a Pleasure for You-azwj, from fighting these deviants, and if I knew of any deed today as being of Pleasure to You-azwj from it, I would do it’’.
