قَالَ نَصْرٌ وَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُنْدَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَامَ عَمَّارٌ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ فَقَالَ انْهَضُوا مَعِي عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يَطْلُبُونَ بِدَمِ الظَّالِمِ لِنَفْسِهِ الْحَاكِمِ عَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ مَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا قَتَلَهُ الصَّالِحُونَ الْمُنْكِرُونَ لِلْعُدْوَانِ الْآمِرُونَ بِالْإِحْسَانِ
فَقَالُوا هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ لَا يُبَالُونَ إِذَا سَلِمَتْ لَهُمْ دُنْيَاهُمْ لَوْ دَرَسَ هَذَا الدِّينُ لِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ فَقُلْنَا لِأَحْدَاثِهِ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ شَيْئاً وَ ذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ مَكَّنَهُمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا فَهُمْ يَأْكُلُونَهَا وَ يَرْعَوْنَهَا وَ لَا يُبَالُونَ لَوِ انْهَدَمَتِ الْجِبَالُ
وَ اللَّهِ مَا أَظُنُّهُمْ يَطْلُبُونَ بِدَمٍ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّهُ لَظَالِمٌ وَ لَكِنَّ الْقَوْمَ دَانُوا لِلدُّنْيَا فَاسْتَحَبُّوهَا وَ اسْتَمْرَءُوهَا وَ عَلِمُوا أَنَّ صَاحِبَ الْحَقِّ لَوْ وَلِيَهُمْ لَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ بَيْنَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ وَ يَرْعَوْنَ مِنْهَا
إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُمْ سَابِقَةٌ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ يَسْتَحِقُّونَ بِهَا الطَّاعَةَ وَ الْوَلَايَةَ فَخَدَعُوا أَتْبَاعَهُمْ بِأَنْ قَالُوا قُتِلَ إِمَامُنَا مَظْلُوماً لِيَكُونُوا بِذَلِكَ جَبَابِرَةً وَ مُلُوكاً تِلْكَ مَكِيدَةٌ قَدْ بَلَغُوا بِهَا مَا تَرَوْنَ وَ لَوْلَاهَا مَا بَايَعَهُمْ مِنَ النَّاسِ رَجُلَانِ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ تَنْصُرْنَا
Nasr said, ‘And it is narrated to us by Amro, from Abdul Rahman Bin Jundab Bin Abdullah who said, ‘Ammar stood up on the day of Siffeen. He said, ‘Get up with me, servants of Allah-azwj, to a people claiming they are seeking blood of the oppressor for himself, the decider upon servants of Allah-azwj with other than what is in the Book of Allah-azwj! But rather, the righteous ones had killed him, the denies of the aggression of the rulers by the good deeds’. They said, ‘They are those not caring when their world is submitted to them. If they had learnt this religion, they would not have killed him. We said, ‘((Usman) was killed) for his innovations’. They said, ‘He did not innovate anything’, and that is because he had enabled them from the word, and they were consuming it and he was taking care of them, and they did not care even if the mountain had been demolished. By Allah-azwj! What are their thoughts seeking the blood they know he was an oppressor, but the people made it to be a religion for the world, so they loved it and looked after it, and they knew that if they had made the owner of the right to be the ruler, he would have been a barrier between them and what they are consuming and being nourished from it. The people, there does not happen to be for them any precedence in they would be deserving the obedience due to it and the governance. So, they deceived their followers by saying, ‘Our leader has been killed as an oppressed! ’, in order to become tyrants and kings with that.
