ما، الأمالي للشيخ الطوسي جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُفَلَّسِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ خَاقَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ سَيِّدُ الْعَرَبِ قَالُوا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَنَا سَيِّدُ وُلْدِ آدَمَ وَ عَلِيٌّ سَيِّدُ الْعَرَبِ.
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of the sheykh Al Tusi – A group, from Abu Al Mufazzal, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Bin Al Mufallas, from Abdullah Bin Yusuf, from Umar, Bin Abdul Aziz, from Khaqan Bin Abdullah, from Humeyr, from Anas Bin Malik (well-known fabricator) who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘Who is chief of the Arabs? ’ They said, ‘You-saww are, O Rasool-Allah-saww! ’ He-saww said: ‘I-saww am chief of the children of Adam-as, and Ali-asws is chief of the Arabs’’.
