ل، الخصال أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الْبُخَارِيِّ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ الْحَرَسِيِ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ عَلِيّاً عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ عِنْدَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ تَذْكُرُ عَلِيّاً أَمَا إِنَّ لَهُ مَنَاقِبَ أَرْبَعَ لَأَنْ تَكُونَ لِي وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا وَ ذَكَرَ حُمْرَ النَّعَمِ
قَوْلُهُ لَأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَداً وَ قَوْلُهُ أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى وَ قَوْلُهُ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ وَ نَسِيَ سَعْدٌ الرَّابِعَةَ.
(The book) ‘Al Khisaal’ – Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Is’haq, from Abdullah Bin Salih Al Bukhari, from Yaqoub Bin Humeyd, from Sufyan Bin Uyayna, from Abu Najeeh, from his father, from Rabie Al Harsy, ‘Ali-asws was mentioned in the presence of Muawiya, and with him was Sa’ad Bin Abu Waqas. Sa’ad said to him, ‘You are mentioning Ali-asws. There are four virtues for him-asws, even if one of these were to be for me, it would have been more beloved to me than such and such’, and he mentioned a red camel. ‘His-saww words: ‘I-saww shall give the flag tomorrow’ (at Khyber), and his-saww words: ‘You-asws are from me-saww at the status of Haroun-as from Musa-as’ (after Tabuk), and his-saww words: ‘One whose Master I-saww was, so Ali-asws is his Master-asws’’ – and Sa’ad forgot the fourth’’.
