وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ عِيسَى كَانَ سَائِحاً فِي الْبَرَارِي وَ مَعَهُ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ فَمَرُّوا بِكَرْبَلَاءَ فَرَأَوْا أَسَداً كَاسِراً قَدْ أَخَذَ الطَّرِيقَ فَتَقَدَّمَ عِيسَى إِلَى الْأَسَدِ فَقَالَ لَهُ لِمَ جَلَسْتَ فِي هَذَا الطَّرِيقِ وَ قَالَ لَا تَدَعُنَا نَمُرُّ فِيهِ فَقَالَ الْأَسَدُ بِلِسَانٍ فَصِيحٍ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدَعْ لَكُمُ الطَّرِيقَ حَتَّى تَلْعَنُوا يَزِيدَ قَاتِلَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع
فَقَالَ عِيسَى ع وَ مَنْ يَكُونُ الْحُسَيْنُ قَالَ هُوَ سِبْطُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ وَ ابْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَلِيِّ قَالَ وَ مَنْ قَاتِلُهُ قَالَ قَاتِلُهُ لَعِينُ الْوُحُوشِ وَ الذُّبَابِ وَ السِّبَاعِ أَجْمَعَ خُصُوصاً أَيَّامَ عَاشُورَاءَ
فَرَفَعَ عِيسَى يَدَيْهِ وَ لَعَنَ يَزِيدَ وَ دَعَا عَلَيْهِ وَ أَمَّنَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ عَلَى دُعَائِهِ فَتَنَحَّى الْأَسَدُ عَنْ طَرِيقِهِمْ وَ مَضَوْا لِشَأْنِهِمْ.
And it is reported –
‘Isa-as was touring in the desert and the disciples were with him-as. They passed by Karbala. They saw a fearsome lion having taken the road. Isa-as went ahead to the lion. He-as said to it: ‘Why are you sitting in this road and not leaving us to pass in it? ’ The lion said with an eloquent tongue, ‘I will not leave the road for you all unless you were to curse yazeed-la, killer of Al-Husayn-asws! ’
Isa-as said: ‘And who does Al-Husayn-asws happen to be? ’ It said, ‘He-asws is a grandson-asws of the Prophet-saww Muhammad-saww, and son-asws of Ali-asws the guardian’. He-as said: ‘And who will kill him-asws? ’ It said, ‘He-asws will be killed by the one-la cursed by the animals, and the flies, and the lions in their entirety, especially on the days of Ashura’. Isa-as raised his-as hand and cursed Yazeed-la and supplicated against him-la, and the disciples said, ‘Ameen’ to his-as supplication. The lions went aside from their path and they continued to their affair’’. [242]
