لي، الأمالي للصدوق الطَّالَقَانِيُّ عَنِ الْجَلُودِيِّ عَنِ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَاجِبُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَنَّهُ لَمَّا جِيءَ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع أَمَرَ فَوُضِعَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فِي طَسْتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَ جَعَلَ يَضْرِبُ بِقَضِيبٍ فِي يَدِهِ عَلَى ثَنَايَاهُ وَ يَقُولُ لَقَدْ أَسْرَعَ الشَّيْبُ إِلَيْكَ يَا بَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مَهْ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص يَلْثِمُ حَيْثُ تَضَعُ قَضِيبَكَ فَقَالَ يَوْمٌ بِيَوْمِ بَدْرٍ
ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَغُلَّ وَ حُمِلَ مَعَ النِّسْوَةِ وَ السَّبَايَا إِلَى السِّجْنِ وَ كُنْتُ مَعَهُمْ فَمَا مَرَرْنَا بِزُقَاقٍ إِلَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ مِلْءَ رِجَالٍ وَ نِسَاءٍ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَ يَبْكُونَ فَحُبِسُوا فِي سِجْنٍ وَ طُبِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ
ثُمَّ إِنَّ ابْنَ زِيَادٍ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ دَعَا بِعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ النِّسْوَةِ وَ أَحْضَرَ رَأْسَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع وَ كَانَتْ زَيْنَبُ ابْنَةُ عَلِيٍّ ع فِيهِمْ فَقَالَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَحَكُمْ وَ قَتَلَكُمْ وَ أَكْذَبَ أَحَادِيثَكُمْ
فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَكْرَمَنَا بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ طَهَّرَنَا تَطْهِيراً إِنَّمَا يَفْضَحُ اللَّهُ الْفَاسِقَ وَ يُكَذِّبُ الْفَاجِرَ
قَالَ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتِ صَنِيعَ اللَّهِ بِكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلَ فَبَرَزُوا إِلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ وَ سَيَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَتَتَحَاكَمُونَ عِنْدَهُ
فَغَضِبَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا وَ هَمَّ بِهَا فَسَكَّنَ مِنْهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ- فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ يَا ابْنَ زِيَادٍ حَسْبُكَ مَا ارْتَكَبْتَ مِنَّا فَلَقَدْ قَتَلْتَ رِجَالَنَا وَ قَطَعْتَ أَصْلَنَا وَ أَبَحْتَ حَرِيمَنَا وَ سَبَيْتَ نِسَاءَنَا وَ ذَرَارِيَّنَا فَإِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ لِلِاشْتِفَاءِ فَقَدِ ا
(The book) ‘Al Amaali; of Al Sadouq – Al Talaqany, from Al Jaloudy, from Al Jowhary, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Yazeed, from Abu Nueym who said, ‘It is narrated to me by a guard of Ubeydullah Bin Ziyad-la, ‘When they came with the head of Al-Husayn-asws, he-la ordered, so it was placed in front of him-asws in a tray of gold, and he-la went on to strike (tap) by a stick in his-la hand, upon his-asws lips, and said, ‘The grey-hair has been quick to you-asws, O Abu Abdullah-asws! ’
A man from the people said, ‘No, for I have seen Rasool-Allah-saww kiss when you-la are placing your-la stick! ’ He-la said, ‘A day for the day of Badr! ’
Then he-la commanded with Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws, so he-asws was shackled and carried with the womenfolk and the captives to the prison, and I was with them. We did not pass by any alleyway except we found it to be full of men and women striking their faces and crying. They‑asws were withheld in the prison and it was locked upon them-asws. Then Ibn Ziyad-la, may Allah-azwj Curse him-la, summoned Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws and the womenfolk, and got the (holy) head of Al-Husayn-asws to be presented, and (Syeda) Zainab-asws Bint Ali-asws was among them. Ibn Ziyad-la said, ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Shamed you-asws all and killed you-asws and Belied your-asws narrations! ’
(Syeda) Zainab-asws said: ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Honoured us-asws with Muhammad‑saww and Purified us-asws with a Purification. But rather, Allah-azwj has Shamed the mischief-maker and has Belied the transgressor! ’
He-la said, ‘How did you-asws see the Dealing of Allah-azwj with you-asws, People-asws of the Household? ’ He-asws said: ‘He-azwj Decreed upon them-asws to be killed, so they went out to their slaying places, and Allah-azwj will be Gathering you-asws and them-asws, and you will all be Judged in His-azwj Presence! ’
He-la, may the Curse of Allah-azwj be upon him-la, got angered upon it and thought of killing her (him)-asws. Amro Bin Hureys-la calmed him-la. (Syeda) Zainab-asws said: ‘O Ibn Ziyad-la! It suffices you-la what you-la have perpetrated upon us-asws. You-la have killed our-asws men, and cut off our-asws roots, and desecrated our-asws sanctity, and made captives of our-asws women and our-asws offspring. So, if that is for your-la healing, so you-la been healed! ’
