وَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الرُّؤْيَا عَلَى ثَلَاثَةٍ مِنْهَا تَخْوِيفٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِيَحْزُنَ بِهِ ابْنَ آدَمَ وَ مِنْهَا الْأَمْرُ يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ فَيَرَاهُ فِي الْمَنَامِ وَ مِنْهَا جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَ أَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءاً مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ.
And from Awf Bin Malik who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘The dream is based upon three. From these is a scare from the Satan-la to grieve the son of Adam-as with it, and from these is the matter he discusses with himself during the wakefulness, so he sees it during the sleep, and from these is a part from forty-six parts of the Prophet-hood’’.
