الْمُهَذَّبُ، لِابْنِ الْبَرَّاجِ صَلَاةُ الِاسْتِخَارَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ يُصَلِّيهِمَا مَنْ أَرَادَ صَلَاتَهُمَا كَمَا يُصَلِّي غَيْرَهُمَا مِنَ النَّوَافِلِ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ قَنَتَ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ وَ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ أَسْتَخِيرُ اللَّهَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ
فَإِذَا أَكْمَلَ الْمِائَةَ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ- لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ رَبِّ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ خِرْ لِي فِي كَذَا وَ كَذَا- وَ يَذْكُرُ حَاجَتَهُ الَّتِي قَصَدَ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ لِأَجْلِهَا
وَ قَدْ وَرَدَ فِي صَلَاةِ الِاسْتِخَارَةِ وُجُوهٌ غَيْرُ مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ وَ الْوَجْهُ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَاهُ هَاهُنَا مِنْ أَحْسَنِهَا.
(The book) ‘Al Muhazzib’ of Ibn Al Barraj –
‘Salat of the Istikhara is of two Cycles. One who wants to pray these should pray just as he prays others from the optional Salat(s). When he is free from the recitation in the second Cycle, he should perform Qunout before the Ruk’u, then he should do Ruk’u and say in his Sajdah, ‘I seek the Choice of Allah-azwj! ’ – one hundred times. When he completes the one hundred, he should say, ‘There is no god except Allah-azwj the Forbearing, the Benevolent! There is no god except Allah-azwj the Exalted, the Magnificent. Lord-azwj, by the right of Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Choose for me regarding such and such! ’ – and he should mention his need which he had aimed this Salat for its reason’. And another aspect has been referred regarding Salat of the Istikhara, and the aspect which we have mentioned over here is from its best’’. [183]
