ل، الخصال أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الشَّحَّامِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَا ابْتُلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِشَيْءٍ أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خِصَالٍ ثَلَاثٍ يَحْرُمُهَا
قِيلَ وَ مَا هُنَّ
قَالَ الْمُوَاسَاةُ فِي ذَاتِ اللَّهِ وَ الْإِنْصَافُ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ وَ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ كَثِيراً أَمَا وَ إِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَ لَكِنْ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ عِنْدَ مَا أَحَلَّ لَهُ وَ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ عِنْدَ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ.
(The book) ‘Al Khisaal’ – My father, from Sa’ad, from Ibn Isa, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al Shahham who said, ‘Abu Abdullah-asws said: ‘The Momin is not Tried with anything severer upon him than three characteristics he should be prohibiting these’. It was said, ‘And what are these? ’
He-asws said: ‘The equalising (with brothers) for the Sake of Allah-azwj, and the justice from himself regarding what is in his hands, and Zikr of Allah-azwj a lot. But, I-asws am not saying to you all (saying of), ‘Glory be to Allah-azwj, and the Praise is for Allah-azwj, and there is no god except Allah-azwj, and Allah-azwj is Greatest’, but remembering Allah-azwj at what He-azwj has Permitted for him, and remembering Allah-azwj at what He-azwj has Prohibited upon him’’.
