عُدَّةُ الدَّاعِي، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّداً ص يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ يَا عِبَادِي أَ وَ لَيْسَ مَنْ لَهُ إِلَيْكُمْ حَوَائِجُ كِبَارٌ لَا تَجُودُونَ بِهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَحَمَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِأَحَبِّ الْخَلْقِ إِلَيْكُمْ تَقْضُونَهَا كَرَامَةً لِشِيعَتِهِمْ
أَلَا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ أَكْرَمَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَيَّ وَ أَفْضَلَهُمْ لَدَيَّ مُحَمَّدٌ وَ أَخُوهُ عَلِيٌّ وَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ الْأَئِمَّةُ الَّذِينَ هُمُ الْوَسَائِلُ إِلَى اللَّهِ
أَلَا فَلْيَدْعُنِي مَنْ هِمَّتُهُ حَاجَةٌ يُرِيدُ نُجْحَهَا أَوْ دَهَتْهُ دَاهِيَةٌ يُرِيدُ كَشْفَ ضَرَرِهَا بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ أَقْضِهَا لَهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا يَقْضِيهَا مَنْ تَسْتَشْفِعُونَ بِأَعَزِّ الْحَقِّ عَلَيْهِ
فَقَالَ قَوْمٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَ هُمْ مُسْتَهْزِءُونَ بِهِ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَمَا لَكَ لَا تَقْتَرِحُ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِهِمْ أَنْ يَجْعَلَكَ أَغْنَى أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ
فَقَالَ سَلْمَانُ دَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ مَا هُوَ أَجَلُّ وَ أَنْفَعُ وَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مُلْكِ الدُّنْيَا بِأَسْرِهَا
سَأَلْتُهُ بِهِمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَهَبَ لِي لِسَاناً ذَاكِراً لِتَحْمِيدِهِ وَ ثَنَائِهِ وَ قَلْباً شَاكِراً لآِلَائِهِ وَ بَدَناً صَابِراً عَلَى الدَّوَاهِي الدَّاهِيَةِ وَ هُوَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ أَجَابَنِي إِلَى مُلْتَمَسِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مُلْكِ الدُّنْيَا بِحَذَافِيرِهَا وَ مَا تَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْرَاتِهَا مِائَةَ أَلْفِ أَلْفِ مَرَّةٍ.
(The book) ‘Uddat Al Daie’ –
‘From Salman Al-Farsi-ra who said, ‘I-ra heard Muhammad-saww saying: ‘Allah-azwj Mighty and Majesty Says: “O My-azwj servants! Isn’t it so that the one who has major needs to you, you are not being generous with except if he loads upon you (to intercede to you) with the people most beloved to you to fulfil these in honour of their adherents? Indeed! Know that the people most prestigious to Me-azwj and their most superior to Me-azwj are Muhammad-saww and his-saww brother-asws Ali-asws, and from after him-asws, the Imams-asws, those who are the intermediaries to Allah-azwj! Indeed! Let them supplicate to Me-azwj, one whose concern was a need he wants it to succeed, or a distress stressing him he wants its harm to be removed, through Muhammad-saww and his-saww goodly Progeny-asws, the Purified, I-azwj shall Fulfil it for him as most excellently as he would fulfil for the one seeking intercession by the people dearest to him! ”
A group from the Polytheists said, and they were mocking him-ra with it, ‘O Abu Abdullah-ra! What is the matter you-ra are not suggesting to Allah-azwj through them-asws to Make you richest of the people of Al-Medina? ’
Salman-ra said, ‘I-ra have supplicated to Allah-azwj and have asked Him-azwj for what is more majestic and more beneficial, and more superior than a kingdom of the world with (all) its treasures. I-ra asked Him-azwj through them-asws, may Allah-azwj Sends Salawaat upon them-asws, to Grant me a tongue doing Zikr to praise Him-azwj and laud Him-azwj, and a heart thanking for His-azwj Favours, and a body being patient upon the harmful disasters, and He-azwj Mighty and Majestic has Answered me-ra to my-ra request of that, and it is superior to a kingdom of the world with all its contents and whatever is inclusive upon it from its goodly things, one hundred million times! ’’[24]
