ما، الأمالي للشيخ الطوسي بِالْإِسْنَادِ الْمُتَقَدِّمِ عَنِ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ مَشِيخَةِ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ يَقُولُونَ لَمَّا فَرَغَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع مِنْ حَرْبِ الْجَمَلِ عُرِضَ لَهُ مَرَضٌ وَ حَضَرَتِ الْجُمُعَةُ فَتَأَخَّرَ عَنْهَا وَ قَالَ لِابْنِهِ الْحَسَنِ انْطَلِقْ يَا بُنَيَّ فَاجْمَعْ بِالنَّاسِ
فَأَقْبَلَ الْحَسَنُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَقَلَّ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَ أَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَ تَشَهَّدَ وَ صَلَّى عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اخْتَارَنَا لِنُبُوَّتِهِ وَ اصْطَفَانَا عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَ أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابَهُ وَ وَحْيَهُ
وَ ايْمُ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْتَقِصُنَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ حَقِّنَا شَيْئاً إِلَّا يَنْقُصُهُ اللَّهُ فِي عَاجِلِ دُنْيَاهُ وَ آجِلِ آخِرَتِهِ وَ لَا يَكُونُ عَلَيْنَا دَوْلَةٌ إِلَّا كَانَتْ لَنَا الْعَاقِبَةُ وَ لَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُ بَعْدَ حِينٍ
ثُمَّ جَمَعَ بِالنَّاسِ وَ بَلَغَ أَبَاهُ كَلَامُهُ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ ع نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَمَا مَلَكَ عَبْرَتَهُ أَنْ سَالَتْ عَلَى خَدَّيْهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَدْنَاهُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَبَّلَ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَ قَالَ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي ذُرِّيَّةً بَعْضُها مِنْ بَعْضٍ وَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ.
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of the sheykh Al Tusi – By the preceding chain from Al Huzaly, from Muhammad Bin Sireen wo said, ‘I heard someone else from the elders of the people of Al-Basra saying, ‘When Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws was free from the war of the camel, an illness presented to him-asws and the Friday (Salat) presented, and he-asws was delayed from it, and he-asws said to his-asws son-asws Al-Hassan-asws: ‘Go, O my-asws son-asws, and gather with the people’. Al-Hassan-asws came to the Masjid. When he-asws mounted upon the pulpit, he-asws praised Allah-azwj and extolled upon Him-azwj, and testified and sent Salawaat upon Rasool-Allah-saww, then said: ‘O you people! Allah-azwj had Chosen us-asws for His-azwj Prophet-hood and Selected us-asws upon His-azwj creatures, and Revealed His-azwj Book unto us-asws, and His-azwj Revelation. And I-asws swear by Allah-azwj! No one can reduce us-asws of anything from our-asws rights, except he would be reducing Allah-azwj in the immediate of his world, and future of his Hereafter; and there cannot happen to be any government upon us-asws except the end-result would happen to be for us-asws, And you will come to know his News after a while [38: 88]’. Then he-asws gathered the people, and his-asws speech reached his-asws father-asws. When he-asws left to go to his-asws father-asws, he-asws looked at him-asws and could not control his-asws tears from flowing upon his-asws cheeks. Then he-asws drew him-asws closer to him-asws and kissed between his-asws eyes and said: ‘By my-asws father-asws and my-asws mother-asws! Offspring, one being from the other; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing [3: 34]’’. [52]
