وَ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع لَمَّا أَبَتْ عَائِشَةُ الرُّجُوعَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ أَرَى أَنْ تَدَعَهَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ وَ لَا تُرَحِّلَهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع إِنَّهَا لَا تَأْلُو شَرّاً وَ لَكِنِّي أَرُدُّهَا إِلَى بَيْتِهَا الَّذِي تَرَكَهَا فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بالِغُ أَمْرِهِ.
And it is reported from Ibn Abbas, ‘He said to Amir Al-Momineen-asws when Ayesha refused to return to Al-Medina, ‘I view that you-asws should leave her at Al-Basra, O Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and do not depart her’. Amir Al-Momineen-asws said to him: ‘She is not short of evil, but I-asws will return her to her house which Rasool-Allah-saww had left her behind in it, Surely, Allah would Accomplish His Command. [65: 3]’’. [221]
