مع، معاني الأخبار أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيِّ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى وَ أَوْفُوا بِعَهْدِي أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ خَرَجَ آدَمُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ قَدْ عَاهَدَ عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لِوَلَدِهِ شَيْثٍ فَمَا وُفِيَ لَهُ وَ لَقَدْ خَرَجَ نُوحٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ قَدْ عَاهَدَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لِوَصِيِّهِ سَامٍ فَمَا وَفَتْ أُمَّتُهُ
وَ لَقَدْ خَرَجَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ عَاهَدَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لِوَصِيِّهِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَمَا وَفَتْ أُمَّتُهُ وَ لَقَدْ خَرَجَ مُوسَى مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ عَاهَدَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لِوَصِيِّهِ يُوشَعَ بْنِ نُونٍ فَمَا وَفَتْ أُمَّتُهُ وَ لَقَدْ رُفِعَ عِيسَى بْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَ قَدْ عَاهَدَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لِوَصِيِّهِ شَمْعُونَ بْنِ حَمُّونَ الصَّفَا فَمَا وَفَتْ أُمَّتُهُ
وَ إِنِّي مُفَارِقُكُمْ عَنْ قَرِيبٍ وَ خَارِجٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِكُمْ وَ قَدْ عَهِدْتُ إِلَى أُمَّتِي فِي عَهْدِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَ إِنَّهَا لَرَاكِبَةٌ سَنَنَ مَنْ قَبْلَهَا مِنَ الْأُمَمِ فِي مُخَالَفَةِ وَصِيِّي وَ عِصْيَانِهِ أَلَا وَ إِنِّي مُجَدِّدٌ عَلَيْكُمْ عَهْدِي فِي عَلِيٍ فَمَنْ نَكَثَ فَإِنَّما يَنْكُثُ عَلى نَفْسِهِ وَ مَنْ أَوْفى بِما عاهَدَ عَلَيْهُ الل
(The book) ‘Ma’any Al Akhbar’ – My father, from Muhammad Bin al Qasim, from Muhammad Bin Ali Al Qureyshi, from Abu Al Rabie, from Jareer, from Lays, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said when Allah-azwj Blessed and Exalted Revealed: and fulfil My Covenant, I will Fulfil My Covenant with you; [2: 40]: ‘By Allah-azwj! Adam-as had exited from the world and he-as made a pact upon the loyalty with his-as son-as Shees-as, but they were not loyal to him-as. And Noah-as exited from the world and he-saww had made a pact to him-as people upon the loyalty for his-as successor-as Saam-as, but his-as community were not loyal. And Ibrahim-as had exited from the world and made a pact to his-as people upon the loyalty for his-as successor-as Ismail-as, but his-as community were not loyal. And Musa-as had exited from the world and made a pact to his-as people upon the loyalty for his-as successor-as Yoshua Bin Noon-as, but his-as community were not loyal. And Isa-as Bin Maryam-as was raised to the sky and he-as made a pact to his-as people upon the loyalty for his-as successor-as Shamoun Bin Hamoun Al-Saffa-as, but his-saww community were not loyal. And I-saww am to separate from you all very soon and exit from your midst, and I-saww am making a pact to my-saww community regarding a covenant of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws, and it is riding upon the way of the communities before regarding the leaving of a successor-as and him-as being disobeyed. Indeed! And I-saww am renewing my-saww pact upon you all regarding Ali-asws: So the one who breaks, is rather breaking against himself, and the one who fulfils with what Allah Covenanted upon him, would be Given a Mighty Recompense [48: 10].
