مَا أَطْلَعْتُكَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَ سَتَرْتُ مَا أَخْبَرْتُكَ بِهِ عَنْهُ وَ مَعَ هَذَا فَثِقْ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ ارْجِعْ فِيمَا دَهِمَكَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْحَالِ الْغَلِيظَةِ إِلَيْهِ
فَإِنَّهُ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ يُجِيرُ وَ لا يُجارُ عَلَيْهِ وَ تَوَجَّهْ إِلَيْهِ تَعَالَى بِالْعُدَّةِ وَ الذَّخِيرَةِ لِلشَّدَائِدِ وَ الْأُمُورِ الْعِظَامِ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ
قَالَ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ فَانْصَرَفْتُ إِلَى مَنْزِلِيَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلْتُ فِيهِ وَ أَنَا فِي صُورَةٍ غَلِيظَةٍ مِنَ الْإِيَاسِ مِنَ الْحَيَاةِ وَ اسْتِشْعَارِ الْهَلَكَةِ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ وَ لَبِسْتُ ثِيَاباً جَعَلْتُهَا أَكْفَانِي وَ أَقْبَلْتُ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ فَجَعَلْتُ أُصَلِّي وَ أُنَاجِي رَبِّي وَ أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَيْهِ وَ أَعْتَرِفُ لَهُ بِذُنُوبِي وَ أَتُوبُ مِنْهَا ذَنْباً ذَنْباً
وَ تَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ حُجَّةِ اللَّهِ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَ الْمَأْمُولِ لِإِحْيَاءِ دِينِهِ
ثُمَّ لَمْ أَزَلْ وَ أَنَا مَكْرُوبٌ قَلِقٌ أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ أَقُولُ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَا مَوْلَايَ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّي وَ رَبِّكَ فِيمَا دَهِمَنِي وَ أَظَلَّنِي
فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أَقُولُ هَذَا وَ مَا أَشْبَهَهُ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ إِلَى أَنِ انْتَصَفَ اللَّيْلُ وَ جَاءَ وَقْتُ الصَّلَاةِ فَقُمْتُ فَصَلَّيْتُ وَ دَعَوْتُ وَ تَضَرَّعْتُ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا كَذَلِكَ وَ قَدْ فَرَغْتُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَ أَنَا أَسْتَغِيثُ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْهِ بِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِذْ نَعَسْتُ فَحَمَلَنِي النَّوْمُ
فَرَأَيْتُ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فِي مَنَامِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ كُشْمَرْدَ
قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ
فَقَالَ مَا لِي أَرَاكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَالِ
قُلْتُ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَ وَ مَا يَحِقُّ لِمَنْ يُقْتَلُ صَبَاحَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ غَرِيباً عَنْ أَهْلِهِ وَ وُلْدِهِ وَ بِغَيْرِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُسْنِدُهَا إِلَى مُتَكَفِّلٍ بِهَا أَنْ يَشْتَدَّ قَلَقُهُ وَ جَزَعُهُ: فَقَالَ بَلْ تَحُولُ كِفَايَةُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ دِفَاعُهُ بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَ الَّذِي تَوَعَّدَكَ فِيمَا أَرْصَدَكَ بِهِ مِنْ سَطَوَاتِهِ
اكْتُبْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَ تَمَامَ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِ
turn to Him-azwj the Exalted with the preparation and the provide for the adversities and the mighty matters for Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon them-asws! ’
Abu Al-Abbas said, ‘I went to my house which I had lodged in and was in a harsh image from the despairing from the life and was aware of the destruction. I washed and wore clothes, making these as my shroud and I faced towards the Qiblah. I went on to pray Salat and whispering to my Lord-azwj and beseeching to Him-azwj and acknowledging my sins to Him-azwj and repenting from these, sin by sin. And I turned to Allah-azwj through Muhammad-saww, and Ali-asws, and (Syeda) Fatima-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws, and Al-Husayn-asws, and Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws, and Muhammad-asws Bin Ali‑asws, and Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws, and Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws, and Ali-asws Bin Musa‑asws, and Muhammad-asws Bin Ali-asws, and Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws, and the Divine Authority of Allah-azwj in His-azwj earth, the one hope for to revive His-azwj religion. Then I did not cease to be distressed, anxious, beseeching to Amir Al-Momineen-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-asws. I said, ‘O my Master-asws! O Amir Al-Momineen-asws, I am turning through you-asws to Allah-azwj! O Amir Al-Momineen-asws, I am turning through you‑asws to Allah-azwj! O Amir Al-Momineen-asws! O my Master-asws, I am turning through you-asws to Allah-azwj, my Lord-azwj and your-asws Lord-azwj, regarding what is attacking me and overshadowing me! ’
I did not cease saying this and what resembles it from the speech up to midnight, and the time for Salat came. I stood up and prays Salat, and supplicated, and beseeched. While I was like that and was free from the Salat and I was crying out to Allah-azwj the Exalted for help, and seeking mediation to Him-azwj through Amir Al-Momineen-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him, when I became drowsy, and the sleep carried me. I saw Amir Al-Momineen-asws in that sleep of mine (dream). He-asws said: ‘O Ibn Kushmard! ’
I said, ‘At your-asws service, O my Master-asws! ’
He-asws said: ‘What is the matter I-asws see you being upon this state? ’
I said, ‘O my Master-asws, O Amir Al-Momineen-asws! Is it not a right for the one who is to be killed in the morning of this night, estranged from his wife and his children, and without a bequest attributed to one responsible with it, that his stress and his alarm to intensify? ’
He-asws said: ‘But, Sufficiency of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic and His-azwj Defence will intervene between you and the one who is threatening you regarding what he is planning against you with his power. Write, ‘In the Name of Allah-azwj the Beneficent, the Merciful, and the complete Opening of the Book (Surah Al Fatiha), and Ayat Al Kursy wa Al Arsh, and write, ‘From the humble slave, so and so son of so and so, to the Master, the Majestic Who there is no god except He-azwj, the L
