Hadith 58

I-asws said: ‘And why have you been named as ‘Maqdouda’? ’
She said, ‘I have been Created for Al-Miqdad Bin Al-Aswad Al-Kindy, companion of Rasool-Allah-saww! ’
I-asws said to the second one: ‘What is your name? ’
She said, ‘Zarrah! ’
I-asws said: ‘And why have you been named as ‘Zarrah’, and you are noble in my-asws eyes? ’
She said, ‘I have been Created for Abu Zarr Al-Ghifary-ra, companion of Rasool-Allah-saww! ’
I said to the third: ‘What is your name? ’
She said, ‘Salma! ’
I said, ‘And why have you been named as ‘Salma’? ’
She said, ‘I am for Salman Al-Farsi-ra, slave of your-asws father-saww Rasool-Allah-saww! ’
(Syeda) Fatima-asws said: ‘Then they brought out to me-asws blue dates like ‘Al-Khushkananij’ (sweet bread baked with pistachios and almonds), large, whiter than the snow and purer in aroma than the yellow musk. Syeda-asws said to me-ra, ‘O Salman-ra! Break the fast of your-ra evening upon it. When it is tomorrow morning, come to me-asws with its seeds’ (or said: ‘It kernels’). Salman-ra said, ‘I-ra took the dates. I-ra did not pass by any group of companions of Rasool-Allah‑saww except they said, ‘O Salman-ra! Is there musk with you-ra? ’ I-asws said, ‘Yes’. When it was the time of breaking the fast, I-ra broke fast upon it, but I-ra neither found any seed for it nor kernel. So, I went to daughter-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww during the second day. I‑ra said to her-asws, ‘I-ra had broken the fast upon what You-azwj had gifted me-ra with, but I-ra did not find any kernels for it nor seeds! ’
Syeda-asws said: ‘O Salman-ra, and there will never be any kernels for it nor seeds, and rather it is a tree Planted by Allah-azwj in the House of Pease with a Speech He-azwj had Taught my-asws father-saww Muhammad-saww! I-asws have been saying it morning and evening! ’
Salman-ra said, ‘I-ra said, ‘Teach me-ra the speech, O my-ra Chieftess! ’
Syeda-asws said: ‘If it cheers you-ra that the harm of fever does not touch you-ra for as long as you‑ra live in house of the world, then be persistent upon it’. The Salman-ra said, ‘Syeda-asws taught me-ra this protection. She-asws said: ‘In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1: 1]! In the Name of Allah-azwj the Noor! In the Name of Allah-azwj, Noor upon Noor! In the Name of Allah-azwj Who is Manager of the affairs! In the Name of Allah-azwj Who Created the Noor from the Noor! The Praise is for Allah‑azwj Who Created the Noor from the Noor, and Sent down the Noor upon the (mount) Tour, in a written Book, in spread out pages, in a determined measure, upon a Prophet-saww bringing joy! The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who is Mentioned with the Might, and Famous with the Pride, and thanked upon the ease and the hardship! And may Allah-azwj Send Salawaat upon our Chief Muhammad-saww and his-saww Pure Progeny-asws! ’
Salman-ra said, ‘I-ra learned these. By Allah-azwj, and I-ra have taught these to more than a thousand persons from the people of Al-Medina and Makkah, from the ones having the fever with them. Each one was cured from his illness by the Permission of Allah-azwj the Exalted’’. [112]
