3 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ الرَّزَّازُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْقَمَّاطِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بَيَّاعِ السَّابِرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ إِنَّ أَرْضَ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَتْ مَنْ مِثْلِي وَ قَدْ بَنَى اللَّهُ بَيْتَهُ [بُنِيَ بَيْتُ اللَّهِ] عَلَى ظَهْرِي وَ يَأْتِينِي النَّاسُ مِنْ كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ وَ جُعِلْتُ حَرَمَ اللَّهِ وَ أَمْنَهُ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهَا أَنْ كُفِّي وَ قِرِّي فَوَ عِزَّتِي وَ جَلَالِي مَا فَضْلُ مَا فُضِّلْتِ بِهِ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتُ بِهِ أَرْضَ كَرْبَلَاءَ إِلَّا بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْإِبْرَةِ غُرِسَتْ [غُمِسَتْ] فِي الْبَحْرِ فَحَمَلَتْ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ وَ لَوْ لَا تُرْبَةُ كَرْبَلَاءَ مَا فَضَّلْتُكِ وَ لَوْ لَا مَا تَضَمَّنَتْهُ أَرْضُ كَرْبَلَاءَ لَمَا خَلَقْتُكِ وَ لَا خَلَقْتُ الْبَيْتَ الَّذِي افْتَخَرْتِ بِهِ فَقِرِّي وَ اسْتَقِرِّي وَ كُونِي دُنْيَا مُتَوَاضِعاً ذَلِيلًا مَهِيناً غَيْرَ مُسْتَنْكِفٍ وَ لَا مُسْتَكْبِرٍ لِأَرْضِ كَرْبَلَاءَ وَ إِلَّا سُخْتُ بِكِ وَ هَوَيْتُ بِكِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بَيَّاعِ السَّابِرِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
3. Abul ‘Abbās Al-Kūfi narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Abī Sa’īd Al-‘Usfuri, from ‘Amr ibn Thābit, from his father, who said: Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a. s. )) said: Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, created, blessed, and sanctified the land of Karbalā twenty-four thousand years before He created the Ka’bah. Therefore, it was blessed and sanctified before the creation of any created being and it will remain this way until Allāh (ascends it to Paradise and) appoints it as the best land in Paradise. It will be the best abode in Paradise in which Allāh will make His friends abide.
