ج، الإحتجاج جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ إِلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَقَالَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ إِنَّ جَدَّكَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَتَلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فَهَمَلَتْ عَيْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ دُمُوعاً حَتَّى امْتَلَأَتْ كَفُّهُ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِهَا عَلَى الْحَصَى ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَخَا أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ لَا وَ اللَّهِ مَا قَتَلَ عَلِيٌّ مُؤْمِناً وَ لَا قَتَلَ مُسْلِماً وَ مَا أَسْلَمَ الْقَوْمُ وَ لَكِنِ اسْتَسْلَمُوا وَ كَتَمُوا الْكُفْرَ وَ أَظْهَرُوا الْإِسْلَامَ فَلَمَّا وَجَدُوا عَلَى الْكُفْرِ أَعْوَاناً أَظْهَرُوهُ
وَ قَدْ عَلِمَتْ صَاحِبَةُ الْجَمَلِ وَ الْمُسْتَحْفَظُونَ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَمَلِ وَ أَصْحَابَ صِفِّينَ وَ أَصْحَابَ النَّهْرَوَانِ لُعِنُوا عَلَى لِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ ص وَ قَدْ خابَ مَنِ افْتَرى
فَقَالَ شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ إِنَّ جَدَّكَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِخْوَانُنَا بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا
فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَ مَا تَقْرَأُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَ إِلى عادٍ أَخاهُمْ هُوداً فَهُمْ مِثْلُهُمْ أَنْجَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ هُوداً وَ الَّذِينَ مَعَهُ وَ أَهْلَكَ عَاداً بِالرِّيحِ الْعَقِيمِ.
(The book) ‘Al-Ihtijaj’ – A man from the people of Al-Basra came to Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws and said, ‘O Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws! Your-asws grandfather-asws Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws killed the Momineen’! The eyes of Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws bore tears until his-asws palm was filled from it. Then he-asws threw it upon the pebbles and said: ‘O brother of people of Basra! By Allah-azwj, Ali-asws did not kill any Momin nor did he-asws kill any Muslim, and the people had not become Muslims, but they had submitted and they had concealed the Kufr and manifested. When they found supporters upon the Kufr, they manifested it. And the rider of the camel (Ayesha) and the memorisers from the Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww knew that the companions of the camel, and companions of Siffeen, and companions of Al-Naharwan had been cursed upon the tongue of the Ummy Prophet-saww, and the one who fabricates would be disappointed’ [20: 61]’. The old man from the people of Al-Kufa said, ‘O Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws! Your-asws grandfather-asws was saying: ‘Our brethren have rebelled against us’’. Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws! Have you not read the Book of Allah-azwj: And to Aad (We Sent) their brother Hud. [7: 65]. They are this like. Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Rescued Hud-as and the ones with him-as, and Destroyed (people of) Aad with ‘Al-Aqeem’ wind’’. [223]
