يِّهِ ص
فَالْعَجَبُ مِنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يُنَازِعُنِي الْخِلَافَةَ وَ يَجْحَدُنِي الْإِمَامَةَ وَ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ أَحَقُّ بِهَا مِنِّي جُرْأَةً مِنْهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ لَهُ فِيهَا وَ لَا حُجَّةٍ وَ لَمْ يُبَايِعْهُ عَلَيْهَا الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَ لَا سَلَّمَ لَهُ الْأَنْصَارُ وَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَ جَمَاعَةِ مَنْ سَمِعَ كَلَامِي أَ وَ مَا أَوْجَبْتُمْ لِي عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمُ الطَّاعَةَ أَ مَا بَايَعْتُمُونِي عَلَى الرَّغْبَةِ أَ لَمْ آخُذْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَهْدَ بِالْقَبُولِ لِقَوْلِي أَ مَا بَيْعَتِي لَكُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَوْكَدَ مِنْ بَيْعَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَ عُمَرَ
فَمَا بَالُ مَنْ خَالَفَنِي لَمْ يَنْقُضْ عَلَيْهِمَا حَتَّى مَضَيَا وَ نَقَضَ عَلَيَّ وَ لَمْ يَفِ لِي أَ مَا يَجِبُ لِي عَلَيْكُمْ نُصْحِي وَ يَلْزَمُكُمْ أَمْرِي أَ مَا تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ بَيْعَتِي تَلْزَمُ الشَّاهِدَ عَنْكُمْ وَ الْغَائِبَ فَمَا بَالُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ طَاعِنِينَ فِي بَيْعَتِي وَ لِمَ لَمْ يَفُوا بِهَا لِي وَ أَنَا فِي قَرَابَتِي وَ سَابِقَتِي وَ صِهْرِي أَوْلَى بِالْأَمْرِ مِمَّنْ تَقَدَّمَّنِي
أَ مَا سَمِعْتُمْ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص يَوْمَ الْغَدِيرِ فِي وَلَايَتِي وَ مُوَالاتِي فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ أَيُّهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَ تَحَاثُّوا عَلَى جِهَادِ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّاكِثِ الْقَاسِطِ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ الْقَاسِطِينَ وَ اسْمَعُوا مَا أَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ الْمُنْزَلِ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ الْمُرْسَلِ لِتَتَّعِظُوا فَإِنَّهُ عِظَةٌ لَكُمْ فَانْتَفِعُوا بِمَوَاعِظِ اللَّهِ وَ ازْدَجِرُوا عَنْ مَعَاصِي اللَّهِ فَقَدْ وَعَظَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِغَيْرِكُمْ
فَقَالَ لِنَبِيِّهِ ص أَ لَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرائِيلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مُوسى إِذْ قالُوا لِنَبِيٍّ لَهُمُ ابْعَثْ لَنا مَلِكاً نُقاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قالَ هَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتالُ أَلَّا تُقاتِلُوا قالُوا وَ ما لَنا أَلَّا نُقاتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ قَدْ أُخْرِجْنا مِنْ دِيارِنا وَ أَبْنائِنا فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتالُ تَوَلَّوْا إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِنْهُمْ وَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ
وَ قالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طالُوتَ
Book of Allah-azwj and Sunnah of His-azwj Prophet-saww. The strangeness from Muawiya Bin Abu Sufyan to dispute me-asws of the caliphate and rejecting me-asws of the Imamate, and claiming that he is more rightful with it than I-asws am, an audacity from him upon Allah-azwj and upon His-azwj Rasool-saww without there being any right for him in it, nor any argument, and neither have the Emigrants pledged to him upon it, nor have the Helpers and the Muslims submitted to him. O community of the Emigrants and the Helpers and the community of the ones hearing my-asws speech! And did you not answer to me-asws with the obedience upon yourselves? And did you not pledge allegiance to me-asws upon the desire? And did I-asws not take the pact upon you all with the acceptance of my-asws word? And wasn’t my-asws allegiance more emphasised for you all than the allegiance of Abu Bakr and Umar? So, what is the matter with the ones opposing me-asws, they did not break upon them both until they passed away, and breaking upon me-asws and not being loyal to me-asws? Is not my-asws advice obligate for me-asws upon you all, and my-asws orders necessitated? Don’t you know that my-asws allegiance necessitates upon the attendees from you and the absentees? So, what is the matter Muawiya and his companions were willing in my-asws allegiance and have not been loyal with it to me-asws and I-asws am in my-asws relationship (with Rasool-Allah-saww, and my-asws precedence, and my-asws in-law-ship, being foremost with the command than the ones who preceded me-asws? Have you not heard the words of Rasool-Allah-saww on the day of Al-Ghadeer regarding my-asws Wilayah and my-asws Master-ship? Fear Allah-azwj, O you Muslims, and be motivated upon fighting Muawiya, the allegiance-breaker, the deviant, and his companions the renegades, and listen to what I-asws am reciting unto you all from the Revealed Book of Allah-azwj unto His-azwj Sent Prophet-saww for you to be advices, and it is a preaching for you, therefore benefit with the Preaching of Allah-azwj and be Reproached from disobeying Allah-azwj, for Allah-azwj has Advised you all through others. He-azwj Said to His-azwj Prophet-saww: Have you not considered the chiefs of the children of Israel after Musa, when they said to a Prophet of theirs: ‘Appoint for us a king; we would fight in the Way of Allah’. He said: ‘Perhaps you would not fight if fighting is Prescribed for you? ’ They said: ‘And what is for us except that we fight in the Way of Allah, and we and our children have been expelled from our homes? ’ But when fighting was Prescribed upon them, they turned back, except a few of them, and Allah Knows
