مَلِكاً قالُوا أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنا وَ نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَ لَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِنَ الْمالِ قالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفاهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ زادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَ الْجِسْمِ وَ اللَّهُ يُؤْتِي مُلْكَهُ مَنْ يَشاءُ وَ اللَّهُ واسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَاتِ عِبْرَةً لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى جَعَلَ الْخِلَافَةَ وَ الْأَمْرَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ فِي أَعْقَابِهِمْ وَ أَنَّهُ فَضَّلَ طَالُوتَ وَ قَدَّمَهُ عَلَى الْجَمَاعَةِ بِاصْطِفَائِهِ إِيَّاهُ وَ زِيَادَتِهِ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَ الْجِسْمِ
فَهَلْ تَجِدُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ اصْطَفَى بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ عَلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَ زَادَ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَيَّ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَ الْجِسْمِ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ وَ جَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَالَكُمْ سَخَطُهُ بِعِصْيَانِكُمْ لَهُ
قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرائِيلَ عَلى لِسانِ داوُدَ وَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ذلِكَ بِما عَصَوْا وَ كانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ كانُوا لا يَتَناهَوْنَ عَنْ مُنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ لَبِئْسَ ما كانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
وَ قَالَ تَعَالَى إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتابُوا وَ جاهَدُوا بِأَمْوالِهِمْ وَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أُولئِكَ هُمُ الصَّادِقُونَ
وَ قَالَ تَعَالَى يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلى تِجارَةٍ تُنْجِيكُمْ مِنْ عَذابٍ أَلِيمٍ
تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ وَ تُجاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوالِكُمْ وَ أَنْفُسِكُمْ ذلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَ يُدْخِلْكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهارُ وَ مَساكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ذلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ وَ تَحَاثُّوا عَلَى الْجِهَادِ مَعَ إِمَامِكُمْ فَلَوْ كَانَ لِي مِنْكُمْ عِصَابَةٌ بِعَدَدِ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ إِذَا أَمَرْتُهُمْ أَطَاعُونِي وَ إِذَا اسْتَنْهَضْتُهُمْ نَهَضُوا مَعِي لَاسْتَغْنَيْتُ بِهِمْ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ مِنْكُمْ وَ أَسْرَعْتُ النُّهُوضَ إِلَى حَرْبِ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَإِنَّهُ الْجِهَادُ الْمَفْرُوضُ.
the unjust ones [2: 246]. And their Prophet said to them: ‘Allah has Appointed Talut to be a king over you’. They said: ‘How can he hold kingship over us while we have a greater right to kingship than him, and he has not been Given an abundance from the wealth? ’ He said: ‘Allah has Chosen him over you, and has Increased him abundantly in knowledge and physique; and Allah Grants His Kingdom to the one He so Desires to; and Allah is Capacious, Knowing [2: 247]. O you people! There is a lesson for you all in these verses for you to know that Allah-azwj the Exalted Made the caliphate and the command from after the Prophets-as, to be in their-as posterity, and it is a merit of Talut and his-as advancement upon the community by him being chosen by him-as, and his increased capacity in the knowledge and the physique. So, are you finding that Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic to have Chosen the clan of Umayya over the Clan of Hashim-as, and Muawiya has an increase over me-asws in capacity regarding the knowledge and the physique? Fear Allah-azwj, servants of Allah-azwj, and fight in His-azwj Way before His-azwj Wrath seizes you all due to your disobedience to Him-azwj! Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: Cursed were those who committed Kufr from the Children of Israel, upon the tongue of Dawood and Isa Bin Maryam. That was due to their disobedience and they were exceeding [5: 78] They were not forbidding from evil they were doing. Evil was what they were doing [5: 79]. And the Exalted Said: But rather, the Momineen are those who believe in Allah and His Rasool, then they do not doubt, and they strive with their wealth and their selves in the Way of Allah. Those, they are the truthful [49: 15]. And Allah-azwj the Exalted Said: O you those who believe! Shall I point you upon a trade rescuing you from a painful Punishment? [61: 10]. You should believe in Allah and His Rasool, and struggle in the Way of Allah with your wealth and your selves. That is better for you if only you knew [61: 11]. He will Forgive your sins for you and Enter you into Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, and goodly dwellings in the Gardens of perpetuity. That is the mighty success [61: 12]. Fear Allah-azwj, (O) servants of Allah-azwj, and be mobilised upon the Jihad along with your Imam-asws, so if there would be a group with me-asws of the number of the people of Badr (313), whenever I-asws order them they would obey me-asws, and whenever I-asws tell them to get up, they would get up with me-asws, I-asws would be needless with them away from most of you, and I-asws shall hasten to war against Muawiya and his companion, for the Jihad is the Obligation’’. [29]
