أقول ثم قال نصر بن مزاحم في كتاب صفين،: بعد ما ذكر قتل عمار و هاشم بن عتبة رضي الله عنهما كما سيأتي في الباب الآتي و بعث علي ع خيلا ليحبسوا عن معاوية مادته فبعث معاوية الضحاك بن قيس الفهري في خيل إلى تلك الخيل فأزالوها و جاءت عيون علي ع فأخبرته بما قد كان
فقال ع لأصحابه فما ترون فيما هاهنا فاختلفوا فقال ع فاغدوا إلى القتال فأمرهم غدوة بالقتال فانهزم أهل الشام و انهزم عتبة بن أبي سفيان حتى أتى الشام.
I (Majlisi) am saying, ‘Then Nasr Bin MUzahim said in Kitab Siffeen, after having mentioned the killing of Ammar, and Hashim Bin Utba, as I (Majlisi) shall be coming with in the coming chapter, ‘And Ali-asws sent a cavalry in order to investigate about Muawiya, his matter. Muawiya sent Al-Zahak Bin Qays Al-Fihry among a cavalry to that cavalry, so he moved them, and the spies of Ali-asws came and informed him-asws with what had happened. He-asws said to his-asws companions: ‘So, what are your view regarding what is over there? ’ They differed. He-asws said: ‘Then get up to the fighting! ’ He-asws ordered them to get up for the fighting and defeated the people of Syria, and defeated Utba Bin Abu Sufyan until he went to Syria’’. [39]
