يف، الطرائف وَ مِنْ رِوَايَاتِ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ مِنْ مُسْنَدِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ أَنَّهُ سأله [سُئِلَ] زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ عَنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ ص لِعَلِيٍّ ع مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ فَقَالَ زَيْدٌ نَعَمْ قَالَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ. وَ مِنْ رِوَايَاتِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ فِي مُسْنَدِهِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ إِلَى شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ وَ زَادَ فِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ وَ عَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ وَ انْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَهُ وَ أَحِبَّ مَنْ أَحَبَّهُ وَ أَبْغِضْ مَنْ أَبْغَضَهُ. وَ مِنْ رِوَايَاتِ أَحْمَدَ فِي مُسْنَدِهِ إِلَى سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ رَبِيعَةَ الْحَرَشِيِ أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ عَلِيٌّ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ وَ عِنْدَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ أَ تَذْكُرُ عَلِيّاً إِنَّ لَهُ مَنَاقِبَ أَرْبَعاً لَأَنْ يَكُونَ لِي وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا وَ ذَكَرَ حُمْرَ النَّعَمِ
قَوْلُهُ لَأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَداً وَ قَوْلُهُ أَنْتَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى وَ قَوْلُهُ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ وَ نَسِيَ سُفْيَانُ وَاحِدَةً. وَ مِنْ رِوَايَاتِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ فِي مُسْنَدِهِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ إِلَى زَاذَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيّاً فِي الرَّحْبَةِ وَ هُوَ يَنْشُدُ النَّاسَ مَنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ مَا قَالَ فَقَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ رَجُلًا فَشَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمْ سَمِعُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص يَقُولُ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ وَ عَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ.
(The book) ‘Al Taraif’ – And from reports of Abu Layli Al Kindy, from (the book) ‘Musnad’ of Ahmad Bin Hanbal, ‘Zayd Bin Arqam was asked about the words of the Prophet-saww to Ali-asws: ‘One whose Master I-saww was, so Ali-asws is his Master. O Allah-azwj! Befriend the one befriending him-asws’. Zayd said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww had said it four times’’. [117]
And from the reports of Ahmad Bin Hanbal in his (book) ‘Musnad’, by his chain to Shu’ba, from Abu Is’haq who said, ‘I heard Umar and he added in it that Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘O Allah-azwj! Befriend the one befriending him-asws, and be Inimical to the one being inimical to him-asws, and Help the one helping him-asws, and Love the one loving him-asws, and Hate the one hating him-asws’’. [118]
And from the reports of Ahmad in his (book) ‘Musnad’, to Sufyan, from Abu Najeeh, from his father and Rabie Al Harshy, ‘Ali-asws was mentioned in the presence of a man, and with him was Sa’ad Bin Abu Waqas (a well known enemy of Ahl Al-Bayt-asws). Sa’ad said, ‘Are you mentioning Ali-asws? There are four virtues for him, if even one of these had been for me, it would have been more beloved to me than such and such’, and he mentioned immense bounties. His-saww words: ‘I-saww shall give the flag tomorrow’ (at Khyber), and his-saww words: ‘You-asws are at the status of Haroun-as from Musa-as’, and his-saww words: ‘One whose Master I-saww was, so Ali-asws is his Master’ – and Sufyan (the narrator) forgot one’’. [119]
And from the reports of Ahmad Bin Hanbal in his (book) ‘Musnad’, by his chain to Zazan who said, ‘I heard Ali-asws in Al-Rahba, and he-asws was adjuring the people: ‘One who heard the Prophet-saww, and he-saww said what he-saww said? ’ Thirteen men stood up and the testified that they had heard Rasool-Allah-saww saying: ‘One whose Master I-saww, so Ali-asws is his Master. O Allah-azwj! Befriend the one befriending him-asws and be inimical to the one being inimical to him-asws’’. [120]
