Tafseer Furaat Bin Ibrahim – Muhammad Bin Isa Bin Zakariya Al Dihqan, transmitting, ‘From Amir Al-Momineen Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws said: ‘I-asws entered to see Rasool-Allah-saww and he-saww was reciting Surah Al-Ma’idah. He-saww said: ‘Write it! ’ So, I-asws wrote until I-asws ended up to this Verse: But rather, your Guardian is Allah, and His Rasool, and those who are believing, [5: 55]. Then Rasool-Allah-saww moved his-saww head as if he-saww was sleeping and he-saww was dictating by his-saww tongue until he-saww was free from the end of the Chapter. Then he-saww woke up and said to me-asws: ‘Write’. He-saww dictated to me-asws from the subject matter at which he-saww had drowsed at it, so I-asws said: ‘Did you-saww not just dictate unto me-asws until you-saww had ended it? ’ He-saww said: ‘Allah-azwj is the Greatest! That is which Jibraeelas had dictated unto you-asws’. Then Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws said: ‘Rasool-Allah-saww dictated sixty Verses unto me-asws, and Jibraeel-as dictated sixty-four Verses to me-asws’’. [162]
