وَ رُوِيَ فِي مُؤَلَّفَاتِ بَعْضِ الْأَصْحَابِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَ دَخَلَ فِي أَثَرِهِ الْحَسَنُ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ ع وَ جَلَسَا إِلَى جَانِبَيْهِ فَأَخَذَ الْحَسَنَ عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَ الْحُسَيْنَ عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَ جَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ هَذَا تَارَةً وَ هَذَا أُخْرَى
وَ إِذَا بِجَبْرَئِيلَ قَدْ نَزَلَ وَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَتُحِبُّ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ فَقَالَ وَ كَيْفَ لَا أُحِبُّهُمَا وَ هُمَا رَيْحَانَتَايَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ قُرَّتَا عَيْنِي
فَقَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ عَلَيْهِمَا بِأَمْرٍ فَاصْبِرْ لَهُ فَقَالَ وَ مَا هُوَ يَا أَخِي فَقَالَ قَدْ حَكَمَ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَسَنِ أَنْ يَمُوتَ مَسْمُوماً وَ عَلَى هَذَا الْحُسَيْنِ أَنْ يَمُوتَ مَذْبُوحاً
وَ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةً مُسْتَجَابَةً فَإِنْ شِئْتَ كَانَتْ دَعْوَتُكَ لِوَلَدَيْكَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَهُمَا مِنَ السَّمِّ وَ الْقَتْلِ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ كَانَتْ مُصِيبَتُهُمَا ذَخِيرَةً فِي شَفَاعَتِكَ لِلْعُصَاةِ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص يَا جَبْرَئِيلُ أَنَا رَاضٍ بِحُكْمِ رَبِّي لَا أُرِيدُ إِلَّا مَا يُرِيدُهُ وَ قَدْ أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ تَكُونَ دَعْوَتِي ذَخِيرَةً لِشَفَاعَتِي فِي الْعُصَاةِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي وَ يَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ فِي وَلَدَيَّ مَا يَشَاءُ.
And it is reported in compilations of one of the companions, ‘From Umm Salamara having said, ‘One day Rasool-Allah-saww entered, and Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws entered in his-saww tracks, and they-asws sat to his-saww side. He-saww took Al-Hassan-asws upon his-saww right thigh, and Al-Husayn-asws upon his-asws left thigh, and he-saww went on to kiss this one at one time and this one at another. And Jibraeel-as descended and said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! You-saww love Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws! ’ He-saww said: ‘And how can I-saww not love them-asws, and they-asws are my-saww two aromas from the world delight of my-saww eyes? ’
Jibraeel-as said: ‘O Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj! Allah-azwj has Decided upon them-asws with a matter, so be patient to it’. He-saww said: ‘And what is it, O my-saww brother-as? ’ He-as said: ‘He-azwj has Decided upon this Al-Hassan-asws that he-asws would be dying having been poisoned, and upon this Al-Husayn-asws that he-asws be dying slaughtered. And for every Prophet-as there is an Answered supplication, so if you-saww so desire to supplicate for your-saww sons-asws Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws, then supplicate to Allah-azwj to Keep them-asws safe from the poison and the killing, and if you-saww so desire, their-asws difficulties would be a treasure in your-saww intercession for the disobedient ones from your-saww community on the Day of Qiyamah’. The Prophet-saww said: ‘O Jibraeel-as! I-saww am pleased with the Decision of my-saww Lord-azwj. I-saww do not wat except what He-azwj Wants, and I-saww would love it if my-saww supplication becomes a treasure for my-saww intercession regarding the disobedient ones from my-saww community, and my-saww Lord-azwj can Decree regarding my-saww sons-asws whatever He-azwj so Desires to’’.
