Hadith 120

(The book) ‘Al-Kharaij Wa Al-Jaraih’ – It is reported from Abu Ismail Al Sindy who said, ‘I heard at India that there is a Divine Authority for Allah-azwj among the Arabs, so I came out from it in search. I was pointed to Al-Reza-asws, so I aimed to him-asws. I entered to see him-asws and I was not good at speaking in Arabic. He-asws responded to me in my language. I went on to speak to him-asws in Sindhi and he-asws answering me in Sindhi. I said to him-asws, ‘I had heard in Sindh that there is a Divine Authority for Allah-azwj among the Arabs, so I have come out in search’. He-asws said in my language: ‘Yes, I-asws am he-asws! ’
Then he-asws said: ‘Ask about whatever you want to’. I asked him-asws about what I wanted. When I wanted to stand up from his-asws presence, I said, ‘I am not good at Arabic, so supplicate to Allah-azwj to Inspire me, so that I can speak in it with its people’. He-asws wiped his hand upon my lips, and I spoke in Arabic from my very time’’. [127]
