يج، الخرائج و الجرائح رُوِيَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَمْرَةَ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الرِّضَا وَ امْرَأَتِي حُبْلَى فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنِّي قَدْ خَلَّفْتُ أَهْلِي وَ هِيَ حَامِلٌ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ ذَكَراً فَقَالَ لِي وَ هُوَ ذَكَرٌ فَسَمِّهِ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَهُ عَلِيّاً وَ أَمَرْتُ الْأَهْلَ بِهِ قَالَ ع سَمِّهِ عُمَرَ
فَوَرَدْتُ الْكُوفَةَ وَ قَدْ وُلِدَ ابْنٌ لِي وَ سُمِّيَ عَلِيّاً فَسَمَّيْتُهُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لِي جِيرَانِي لَا نُصَدِّقُ بَعْدَهَا بِشَيْءٍ مِمَّا كَانَ يُحْكَى عَنْكَ فَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ أَنْظَرَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ نَفْسِي.
The book) ‘Al Kharaij Wa Al Jaraih’ – It is reported from Ahmad Bin Amarah who said, ‘I went out to Al-Reza-asws while my wife was pregnant. I said to him-asws, ‘I have left behind my wife, and she is pregnant, so supplicate to Allah-azwj to Make it to be a male’. He-asws said to me: ‘And he is a male, so name him as ‘Umar’. I said, ‘You-asws mean that I should name him as ‘Ali’, and I shall instruct my wife with it’. He-asws said: ‘Name him as ‘Umar’’. I arrived at Al-Kufa and a son had been born for me, and he had been named as ‘Ali’. I named him as ‘Umar’. My neighbour said to me, ‘We shall not be ratifying after it, with anything from what is being told about you (being a Shia)’. I knew that he had been looking at me of myself’’. [131]
