مُعْجَمُ الْبُلْدَانِ، قَالَ رُوِيَ أَنَّهُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ مَكْتُوبٌ الرَّيُّ بَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْأَرْضِ وَ إِلَيْهَا مَتْجَرُ الْخَلْقِ. وَ قَالَ الْأَصْمَعِيُ الرَّيُّ عَرُوسُ الدُّنْيَا وَ إِلَيْهَا مَتْجَرُ النَّاسِ. قَالَ وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الصَّادِقِ ع أَنَّ الرَّيَّ وَ قَزْوِينَ وَ سَاوَةَ مَلْعُونَاتٌ مَشْئُومَاتٌ.
(The book) ‘Mo’jam Al Buldan’ –
He said, ‘It is reported that it is written in the Torah: ‘Al Rayy is a door from the doors of the earth and to it is the trading of the creatures’’. [92] (Not a Hadeeth)
Abd Al As’amy said, ‘Al-Rayy is a bride of the world, and to it is the trading of the people’’. [93] (Not a Hadeeth)
He said, ‘And it is reported from Ja’far Al-Sadiq-asws: ‘Al Ray, and Qazween, and Sawat are accursed, inauspicious’’. [94]
