الحديث 53

دَعَوَاتُ الرَّاوَنْدِيِّ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص اسْتَاكُوا عَرْضاً وَ لَا تَسْتَاكُوا طُولًا
وَ قَالَ التَّشْوِيصُ بِالْإِبْهَامِ وَ الْمُسَبِّحَةِ عِنْدَ الْوُضُوءِ السِّوَاكُ وَ الدُّعَاءُ عِنْدَ السِّوَاكِ
اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي حَلَاوَةَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَ أَذِقْنِي بَرْدَ رَوْحِكَ وَ أَطْلِقْ لِسَانِي بِمُنَاجَاتِكَ وَ قَرِّبْنِي مِنْكَ مَجْلِساً وَ ارْفَعْ ذِكْرِي فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ
اللَّهُمَّ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ وَ يَا أَجْوَدَ مَنْ أَعْطَى حَوِّلْنَا مِمَّا تَكْرَهُ إِلَى مَا تُحِبُّ وَ تَرْضَى وَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الْقُلُوبُ قَاسِيَةً وَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَعْيُنُ جَامِدَةً وَ إِنْ كُنَّا أَوْلَى بِالْعَذَابِ فَأَنْتَ أَوْلَى بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ
اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي فِي عَافِيَةٍ وَ أَمِتْنِي فِي عَافِيَةٍ.
(The book) ‘Dawaat’ of Al Rawandy –
‘The Prophet-saww said: ‘Brush the teeth width wise and do not brush lengthwise’. And he-asws said: ‘The wiping of teeth (can be done) with the thumb, and the wiping of inner fingers is during the Wud’u. Brushing the teeth and the supplication during brushing of the teeth: –
O Allah-azwj! Grace me sweetness of Your-azwj bounties, and Make me taste coolness of Your‑azwj Breeze, and Free my tongue for whispering to You-azwj, and Draw me closer to You-azwj of seat, and Raise my mention among the former ones. O Allah-azwj! O best of the one who is asked, and O most generous of the ones who give, Transfer us from what You-azwj Dislike to what You-azwj do like and are Satisfied with, and even the hearts are hard, and even if the eyes are dry, and even if we were foremost with the Punishment, for You-azwj are Foremost with the Forgiveness. O Allah-azwj! Cause me to live in well-being and Cause me to die in well-being! ’’[274]
