Hadith 40

(The books) ‘Junnat Al-Amaan’, and ‘Balad Al Ameen’, from the book ‘Daf’a Al Humoum Wa Al Ahzaan’ –
‘It is reported that the one who happens to have a need for him, let him fast the Wednesday, and the Thursday, and the Friday. When it will be the day of Friday, he should cleanse and go and donate charity, be it little or more, with the loaf of bread to what is less than that in more or less. When he has prayed the Friday Salat he should say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I ask You-azwj by Your-azwj Name, In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1: 1], Who there is no Allah except He; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; the Beneficent, the Merciful [59: 22], Who there is no Allah except He, the Living, the Eternal; neither does slumber seize Him nor does sleep; [2: 255]; and I ask You-azwj by Your-azwj Name In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1: 1], Whose Magnificence fills the skies and the earth! And I ask You-azwj by Your-azwj Name In the Name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful [1: 1]. To which the voices are humbled, and the faces are submitting to, and the souls are pointed to, and the hearts are palpitating to from fearing Him-azwj, to Send Salawaat upon Muhammad‑saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, and to Fulfill such and such regarding me! ’ – and do not teach your foolish ones for they will be supplicating with it and it will be Answered for them, and do not supplicate with it regarding a sin nor cutting a kinship’’.
