الْبَلَدُ، وَ الْمَجْمُوعُ، دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ لِعَلِيٍّ ع- بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي مَرْضَاتُهُ فِي الطَّلَبِ إِلَيْهِ وَ الْتِمَاسِ مَا لَدَيْهِ وَ سَخَطُهُ فِي تَرْكِ الْإِلْحَاحِ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ عَلَيْهِ
وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ شَاهِدِ كُلِّ نَجْوَى بِعِلْمِهِ وَ مُبَايِنِ كُلِّ جِسْمٍ بِنَفْسِهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا يُدْرَكُ بِالْعُيُونِ وَ الْأَبْصَارِ وَ لَا يُجْهَلُ بِالْعُقُولِ وَ الْأَلْبَابِ وَ لَا يَخْلُو مِنَ الضَّمِيرِ وَ يَعْلَمُ خائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَ ما تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ
وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ الْمُتَجَلِّلُ عَنْ صِفَاتِ الْمَخْلُوقِينَ الْمُطَّلِعُ عَلَى مَا فِي قُلُوبِ الْخَلَائِقِ أَجْمَعِينَ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنْ لَا يَمَلُّ دُعَاءَ رَبِّهِ وَ أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَيْكَ تَضَرُّعَ غَرِيقٍ يَرْجُو كَشْفَ كَرْبِهِ وَ أَبْتَهِلُ إِلَيْكَ ابْتِهَالَ تَائِبٍ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ وَ أَنْتَ الرَّءُوفُ الَّذِي مَلَكْتَ الْخَلَائِقَ كُلَّهُمْ وَ فَطَرْتَهُمْ أَجْنَاساً مُخْتَلِفَاتِ الْأَلْوَانِ وَ الْأَقْدَارِ عَلَى مَشِيَّتِكَ وَ قَدَّرْتَ آجَالَهُمْ وَ أَدْرَرْتَ أَرْزَاقَهُمْ
فَلَمْ يَتَعَاظَمْكَ خَلْقُ خَلْقٍ حَتَّى كَوَّنْتَهُ كَمَا شِئْتَ مُخْتَلِفاً مِمَّا شِئْتَ فَتَعَالَيْتَ وَ تَجَبَّرْتَ عَنِ اتِّخَاذِ وَزِيرٍ وَ تَعَزَّزْتَ مِنْ مُؤَامَرَةِ شَرِيكٍ وَ تَنَزَّهْتَ عَنِ اتِّخَاذِ الْأَبْنَاءِ وَ تَقَدَّسْتَ عَنْ مُلَامَسَةِ النِّسَاءِ
فَلَيْسَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ بِمُدْرِكَةٍ لَكَ وَ لَا الْأَوْهَامُ وَاقِعَةٍ عَلَيْكَ وَ لَيْسَ لَكَ شَرِيكٌ وَ لَا نِدٌّ وَ لَا عَدِيلٌ وَ لَا شَبِيهٌ وَ لَا نَظِيرٌ أَنْتَ الْفَرْدُ الْوَاحِدُ الدَّائِمُ الْأَوَّلُ الْآخِرُ وَ الْعَالِمُ الْأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الْقَائِمُ الَّذِي لَمْ تَلِدْ وَ لَمْ تُولَدْ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ
لَمْ تُوصَفْ بِوَصْفٍ وَ لَمْ تُدْرَكْ بِوَهْمٍ وَ لَا يُغَيِّرُكَ فِي مَرِّ الدُّهُورِ صَرْفٌ كُنْتَ أَزَلِيّاً لَمْ تَزَلْ وَ لَا تَزَالُ وَ عِلْمُكَ بِالْأَشْيَاءِ فِي الْخَفَاءِ كَعِلْمِكَ بِهَا فِي الْإِجْهَارِ وَ الْإِعْلَانِ
فَيَا مَنْ ذَلَّ لِعَظَمَتِهِ الْعُظَمَاءُ وَ خَضَعَتْ لِعِزَّتِهِ الرُّؤَسَاءُ وَ مَنْ كَلَّتْ عَنْ بُلُوغِ ذَاتِهِ أَلْسُنُ الْبُلَغَاءِ وَ مَنْ
(The book) ‘Al Balad’, and ‘Al Majmou’ –
‘A supplication of Ali-asws on the day of Wednesday – ‘In the Name of Allah-azwj the Beneficent, the Merciful! The Praise is for Allah-azwj Whose Satisfaction is in the seeking to Him-azwj, and the requesting for what is with Him-azwj, and His-azwj Annoyance is in neglecting the insistence in the asking to Him-azwj! And Glory be to Allah-azwj! He-azwj Witnesses every whisper by His-azwj Knowledge, and Moderates every body by Himself-saww, and there is no god except Allah-azwj Who is not realised by the eyes, and the sights, He-azwj is not ignored by the intellects and the minds, and He-azwj is not vacant from the conscience, and He-azwj Knows treachery of the eyes and what the chests conceal! And Allah-azwj is Greatest, the One too Majestic from descriptions of the created beings, the Noticer upon what is in hearts of all the creatures! O Allah-azwj! I ask You-azwj with the asking by the one who does not get tired of supplicating to his Lord-azwj, and I beseech to You-azwj the beseeching of a drowning one hoping for the removal of his distress, and I plead to You-azwj the pleading of one repenting from his sins, and You-azwj are the Kind Who Own the creatures, all of them, and You-azwj Natured them as a variety of species and abilities based upon Your-azwj Desire, and You-azwj Determined their terms and Managed their sustenance! A creation and a creation did not Magnify You-azwj until You-azwj had Brought it into being just as You-azwj Desired, different from what You-azwj Desired. You-azwj are more Exalted and Forceful from taking a minister, and too Mighty from instruction of a partner, and Abstained from taking sons, and Holier than touching the women! The sights don’t realise You-azwj nor do the imaginations occur upon You-azwj, and there isn’t any associate for You-azwj, nor a rival, nor equal, nor resemblance, nor a peer, nor a supporter! You-azwj are the Individual, the One, the Permanent, the First, the Last, and the Know, the One, the Solid, the Eternal who does not beget and is no begotten and there does not happen to be anyone a match for Him-azwj! You cannot be described by a description, and You-azwj cannot be realised by imagination, nor are You-azwj changed in the passing of the changes of times! You-azwj have always been eternally and will not cease to be, and Your-azwj Knowledge of the things of the hidden (silent) matters is just like Your-azwj Knowledge with it in the loudness and the announcements! O the One-azwj whose Magnificence humbles the mighty ones, and the chiefs are humbled to His-azwj Might, and O One the tong
