ثو، ثواب الأعمال ابْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنِ السَّعْدَآبَادِيِّ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: لَأَنْ أَحُجَّ حَجَّةً أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ رَقَبَةً حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى عَشَرَةٍ وَ مِثْلَهَا وَ مِثْلَهَا حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى سَبْعِينَ
وَ لَأَنْ أَعُولَ أَهْلَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ أُشْبِعَ جَوْعَتَهُمْ وَ أَكْسُوَ عُرْيَهُمْ وَ أَكُفَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ عَنِ النَّاسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَحُجَّ حَجَّةً وَ حَجَّةً وَ حَجَّةً حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى عَشَرَةٍ وَ مِثْلَهَا وَ مِثْلَهَا حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى سَبْعِينَ.
(The book) ‘Sawaab Al Amaal’ – Ibn Al Mutawakkal, from Al Sa’dabady, from Al Barqy, from his father, from Khalaf Bin Hammad, from Ismail Al Jowhary, from Abu Baseer, ‘From Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘If I-asws were to perform Hajj, one Hajj, it would be more beloved to me-asws than if I-asws were to liberate a neck’ – until he-asws ended up to ten – ‘And similar to it, and similar to it’ – until he-asws ended to seventy. And if I were to support a household from the Muslims, and satiate their hunger, and clothe their bareness, and restrain their faces from (begging) the people, it is more beloved to me that if I were to perform a Hajj, and a Hajj, and a Hajj’ – until he-asws ended up to ten – ‘And similar to it, and similar to it’ – until he-asws ended up to seventy’’.
