The Rewards and the Merits of Establishing Prayers in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ — Hadith 1

1. My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn Walīd both narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-Saffār, from Aḥmad ibn Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Faďďāl, from ‘Amr ibn Sa’īd, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from ‘Ammār ibn Mūsā Al-Sābāťi, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a. s. )), “Is praying in the Mosque of the Prophet (s. a. a. w. ) the same as praying anywhere else in Madīnah? ” Imam (a. s. ) replied, “No. One Salāt (prayer) in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh (s. a. a. w. ) is equal to one thousand prayers elsewhere. However, praying anywhere else in Madīnah is just like praying in any other city. ”
