قَالَ نَصْرٌ وَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ غَدَاةَ الْخَمِيسِ لِسَبْعٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ شَهْرِ صَفَرٍ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَ ثَلَاثِينَ صَلَّى عَلِيٌّ ع الْغَدَاةَ فَغَلَّسَ مَا رَأَيْتُ عَلِيّاً غَلَّسَ بِالْغَدَاةِ أَشَدَّ مِنْ تَغْلِيسِهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَ خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ فَزَحَفَ نَحْوَهُمْ وَ كَانَ هُوَ يَبْدَؤُهُمْ فَيَسِيرُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَإِذَا رَأَوْهُ قَدْ زَحَفَ اسْتَقْبَلُوهُ بِزُحُوفِهِمْ.
Nasr said, ‘And it is narrated to us by Umar Bin Sa’ad, from Abdul Rahman Bin Jundab, from his father who said, ‘When it was the morning of Thursday of the seven vacant from the month of Safar of the year thirty-seven, Ali-asws prayed the morning Salat. It was twilight. I had not seen Ali-asws pray as close to the twilight that his-asws praying to it on that day, and he-asws went out with the people towards the people of Syria. He-asws marched towards them and he-asws was initiating them, and travelled to them. When they saw him-asws to have marched, they faced him with their army march’’. [10]
