لي، الأمالي للصدوق الْحَافِظُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الْجَعْدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: قَامَ عَلِيٌّ ع يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ بِصِفِّينَ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ وَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ لَيْلَةِ الْهَرِيرِ بِخَمْسَةِ أَيَّامٍ
فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى نِعَمِهِ الْفَاضِلَةِ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِهِ الْبَرِّ وَ الْفَاجِرِ وَ عَلَى حُجَجِهِ الْبَالِغَةِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ مَنْ عَصَاهُ أَوْ أَطَاعَهُ إِنْ يَعْفُ فَبِفَضْلٍ مِنْهُ وَ إِنْ يُعَذِّبْ فَبِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَ مَا اللَّهُ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ*
أَحْمَدُهُ عَلَى حُسْنِ الْبَلَاءِ وَ تَظَاهُرِ النَّعْمَاءِ وَ أَسْتَعِينُهُ عَلَى مَا نَابَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِ دِينِنَا وَ أُومِنُ بِهِ وَ أَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْهِ وَ كَفى بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا*
ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَ دِينِهِ الَّذِي ارْتَضَاهُ وَ كَانَ أَهْلَهُ وَ اصْطَفَاهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْعِبَادِ بِتَبْلِيغِ رِسَالَتِهِ وَ حُجَجِهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ
وَ كَانَ كَعِلْمِهِ فِيهِ رَءُوفاً رَحِيماً أَكْرَمَ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ حَسَباً وَ أَجْمَلَهُمْ مَنْظَراً وَ أَشْجَعَهُمْ نَفْساً وَ أَبَرَّهُمْ بِوَالِدٍ وَ آمَنَهُمْ عَلَى عَقْدٍ لَمْ يَتَعَلَّقْ عَلَيْهِ مُسْلِمٌ وَ لَا كَافِرٌ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ قَطُّ بَلْ كَانَ يُظْلَمُ
فَيَغْفِرُ وَ يَقْدِرُ فَيَصْفَحُ وَ يَعْفُو حَتَّى مَضَى مُطِيعاً لِلَّهِ صَابِراً عَلَى مَا أَصَابَهُ مُجَاهِداً فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهادِهِ عَابِداً لِلَّهِ حَتَّى أَتَاهُ الْيَقِينُ
فَكَانَ ذَهَابُهُ ع أَعْظَمَ الْمُصِيبَةِ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ الْبَرِّ وَ الْفَاجِرِ ثُمَّ تَرَكَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِطَاعَةِ اللَّهِ وَ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِهِ
وَ قَدْ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص عَهْداً لَنْ أَخْرُجَ عَنْهُ وَ قَدْ حَضَرَكُمْ عَدُوُّكُمْ وَ قَدْ عَرَفْتُمْ مَنْ رَئِيسُهُمْ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى بَاطِلٍ وَ ابْنُ عَمِّ نَبِيِّكُمْ ص بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِكُمْ يَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى طَاعَةِ رَبِّكُمْ وَ الْعَمَلِ بِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكُمْ
وَ لَا سَوَاءَ مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ كُلِّ ذَكَرٍ لَمْ يَسْبِقْنِي بِالصَّلَاةِ غَيْرُ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ أَنَا وَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْ وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَعَلَى الْحَقِّ وَ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ لَعَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَلَا يَصْبِرِ الْقَوْمُ عَلَى بَاطِلِهِمْ وَ
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of Al Sadouq – Al Hafiz, from Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Al Ja’ad, from Abdul Rahman Bin Salih, from Shuayb Bin Rashid, from Jabir, ‘From Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘Ali-asws stood up to address the people at Siffeen on the day of Friday, and that was before ‘Laylat Al-Hareer’ by five days. The Praise is for Allah-azwj upon His-azwj Favours, the meritorious over the entirety of His-azwj creatures, the righteous and the immoral, and upon His-azwj conclusive Argument upon His-azwj creatures, the ones who disobey Him-azwj or obey Him-azwj. If He-azwj Pardons, it would be due to a Grace from Him-azwj, and if He-azwj Punishes, it would be due to what their own hands have sent ahead, and Allah-azwj is not the least unjust to the servants. I-asws praise Him-azwj upon the good afflictions, and Manifesting the Bounties, and I-asws seek His-azwj Assistance upon what He-azwj Conferred upon us from the matters of our religion, ad I-asws believe in Him-azwj and rely upon Him-azwj, and I-asws suffice with Allah-azwj as a Protector. Then I-asws testify that there is no god except Allah-azwj Alone, there is no associate for Him-azwj, and that Muhammad-saww is His-azwj servant and His-azwj Rasool-saww with the guidance, and His-azwj religion which He-azwj is Pleased with for him-saww, and he-saww was its rightful, and Chose him-saww over the entirety of the servants for the delivery of His-azwj Message and His-azwj Arguments upon His-azwj creatures. And he-saww was in His-azwj Knowledge, kind, merciful, the most honourable creature of Allah-azwj in lineage, and more beautiful of them in appearance, and bravest of them in self, and most righteous of them with a parent, and he-saww secured them upon a pact, neither any Muslim nor any Kafir could attach anything wrong to him-saww at all, but he would be unjust. He-saww forgave while he was powerful, and pardoned and excused until he-saww passed away, obedient to Allah-azwj, patient upon whatever afflicted him-saww, and fighter for the Sake of Allah-azwj as was the right of His-azwj Jihad, a worshipper of Allah-azwj, until the certainty (death) came to him-saww. His-saww going away was the greatest calamity upon the entirety of the people of the earth, the righteous and the immoral. Then he-saww left behind among you all the Book of Allah-azwj, instructing you all with obeying Allah-azwj and forbidding you all from disobeying Him-azwj. And Rasool-Allah-saww had pacted a pact to me-asws, I-asws will never exit from it, and your enemies have presented to you and you have recognised who their chief is, calling them to the falsehood, and the son-asws of and uncle-as of your Prophet-saww is in your midst, calling you all to obey your Lord-azwj, and the working in accordance with the Sunnah of your Prophet-saww. And he is not the same, one who prayed Salat before every Zikr.
