وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يَوْماً مَعَ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ مَارّاً فِي بَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ وَ إِذَا هُمْ بِصِبْيَانٍ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي ذَلِكَ الطَّرِيقِ فَجَلَسَ النَّبِيُّ ص عِنْدَ صَبِيٍّ مِنْهُمْ وَ جَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ وَ يُلَاطِفُهُ ثُمَّ أَقْعَدَهُ عَلَى حَجْرِهِ وَ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ تَقْبِيلَهُ
فَسُئِلَ عَنْ عِلَّةِ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ ص إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ هَذَا الصَّبِيَّ يَوْماً يَلْعَبُ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ رَأَيْتُهُ يَرْفَعُ التُّرَابَ مِنْ تَحْتِ قَدَمَيْهِ وَ يَمْسَحُ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ وَ عَيْنَيْهِ فَأَنَا أُحِبُّهُ لِحُبِّهِ لِوَلَدِيَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ لَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنِي جَبْرَئِيلُ أَنَّهُ يَكُونُ مِنْ أَنْصَارِهِ فِي وَقْعَةِ كَرْبَلَاءَ.
And it is reported that one day Rasool-Allah-saww was with a group of his-saww companions passing by in one of the roads, and there, they were with children playing in that road. The Prophet-saww sat down by a child from them and went on to kiss what was between his eyes and being kind to him. Then he-saww seated him upon his-saww lap and was frequently kissing him. He-saww was asked about the reason for that. He-saww said: ‘One day I saw this child playing with Al-Husayn-asws, and I saw him lifting the soil from under his-asws feet and wiping his face and eyes with it. So, I-saww love him due to his love for my-saww son-asws Al-Husayn-asws, and Jibraeel-as has informed me-saww he would become from his-asws helpers during the event of Karbala’’. [235]
