يج، الخرائج و الجرائح رَوَى إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ الرِّضَا ع يَوْماً أَنَا وَ أَحْمَدُ الْبَزَنْطِيُّ بِالصَّرْيَاءِ وَ كُنَّا تَشَاجَرْنَا فِي سِنِّهِ فَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ إِذَا دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَاذْكُرْنِي حَتَّى أَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ سِنِّهِ فَإِنِّي قَدْ أَرَدْتُ ذَلِكَ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ فَأَنْسَى
فَلَمَّا دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّمْنَا وَ جَلَسْنَا أَقْبَلَ عَلَى أَحْمَدَ فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا قَالَ يَا أَحْمَدُ كَمْ أَتَى عَلَيْكَ مِنَ السِّنِينَ قَالَ تِسْعٌ وَ ثَلَاثُونَ فَقَالَ وَ لَكِنْ أَنَا قَدْ أَتَتْ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَ أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً.
The book) ‘Al Kharaij Wa Al Jaraih’ – It is reported by Ismail Bin Mihran who said, ‘I came to Al-Reza-asws one day, me and Ahmad Al-Bazanty, at Al-Sarya, and we were quarrelling regarding his-asws age. Ahmad said, ‘When we entered to see him-asws, then remind me until I ask him-asws about his-asws age, for I have intended it more than once’. But I forgot. When we entered to see him, and we greeted and sat down, he-asws faced towards Ahmad, and it was the first of what he-asws said: ‘O Ahmad! How many years have come upon you? ’ He said, ‘Thirty-nine’. He-asws said: ‘But I-asws, there have come upon me forty-three years’’. [137]
