Hadith 133

(The book) ‘Al Kharaij Wa Al Jaraih’ – It is reported from Ahmad Bin Umar Al Hallal who said, ‘I said to Abu Al-Hassan-asws the 2nd, ‘May I be sacrificed for you-asws! I am fearing upon you-asws from this companion (governor) of Al-Raqqa’. He-asws said: ‘There won’t be any problem upon me-asws from him. There is a city for Allah-azwj sprouting the gold. He-azwj has Protected it through the weakest of His-azwj creatures with the particles. Even if the elephants were to intend it, they cannot arrive to it’. Al-Washa said, ‘I asked him-asws about this city, and I had heard the Hadeeth before my question, and I had been informed that it was between Balkh and Al-Tubbat (Tibet), and it sprouts gold, and therein are large ants resembling the dogs, upon their circles is honey. No bird passes by it in addition to others. They lie in wait at night in their holes, and they appear at daytime. Sometimes the place gets invaded upon the animals which can cut across thirty Farsakhs during night. Nothing is known from the animals. They are patient with their patience, so they are acknowledging their loads and are going out. When the ants go out in the search, they do not meet anything except they cut it resembling it with the wind from its swiftness, and sometimes they are pre-occupied with the flesh taken for them. When they meet them, it is dropped for them in the road, or else if they meet them, they cut them as well as their animals’’. [141]
