umber of theelders, and the trusted ones, ‘From our Masters-asws Abul Al-Hassan-asws and Abu Muhammad-asws, both having said: ‘Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, when He-azwj Wants to Create the Imam-asws, Sends down a drop from the water of Paradise in the clouds. It drops on to some fruit from the fruits of Paradise. The Divine Authority of the time eats it. When it settles in him-asws and forty days pass by, the voice is heard. When four months come for him-asws and he-ajfj is blessed (to his parents-asws), it is written upon his-ajfj right forearm: And the Word of your Lord has been Completed, truly and justly; there is no changer of His Words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing [6: 115]. When he-asws is blessed (to his parents-asws), he-asws stands with the Command of Allah-azwj and a pillar of Noor is raised for him-asws in every place. He-asws looks into it to the people and their deeds, and Allah-azwj Sends down the Command to him-asws in that pillar, and the pillar is installed in his-asws eyes wherever he-asws turns and looks’. Abu Muhammad-asws said: ‘I-asws entered to see my-asws paternal aunt. I-asws saw a maid from the maid to have been adorned, named as ‘Narjis’. I-asws looked at her-as with a look I-asws prolonged. My-asws aunt Hakeema-as said to me-asws: ‘I-as see you-asws, my-as Master-asws, looking at this maid with an intense look’. I-asws said to him (her-as): ‘O aunt! My-asws looking at her is not except the look of surprise from what is for Allah-azwj in it of His-azwj Will and His-azwj Choice’. She-as said to me-asws: ‘I-as reckon you-asws, my-as Master-asws, want her-as’. I-asws instructed her-as to seek permission of my-asws father Ali-asws Bin Muhammad-asws in submitting her-as to me-asws. He-asws instructed her-as with that, and she-as came to me-asws with her-as’’. [41]
Al-Husayn Bin Hamdan said, ‘And it is narrated to me from I trust, from the elders, ‘From (Syeda) Hakeema-as daughter-as of Muhammad-asws Bin Ali Al-Reza-asws having said: ‘I-as used to enter to see Abu Muhammad-asws and supplicate for him-asws that Allah-azwj would Grace him-asws a son-asws’. And she-as said: ‘I-as entered to see him-asws. I-as said to him-asws just as I-as was and supplicated just as I-as tended to supplicate. He-asws said: ‘O aunt! That which you-as have been supplicating to Allah-azwj to Grace me-asws, he-ajfj is to be blessed during this night’ – and it was the night of Friday on the third vacant from Shaban in the year two hundred and fifty-seven – ‘So may the breaking of your-as fast to be with us-asws’. I-as said: ‘O my-as Master-asws! From whom would this mighty child happen to be? ’ He-asws said to me-as: ‘From Narjis-as, O aunt! ’
He (the narrator) said, ‘She-as said to him-asws: ‘O my-as Master-asws! There is no one among your-asws maids anyone more beloved to me-as than her-as! ’ And I-as stood and entered to see her-as, and whenever I-as would enter, she-as would do with me-as just as I-as did.
