Bihar al-Anwar · Allamah al-Majlisi
الْعَيَّاشِيُّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ وَ تَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُهُ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ قَبْلَ السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ اسْتَوى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ لِتَدْبِيرِ الْأُمُورِ. وَ مِنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: كَانَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى كَمَا وَصَفَ نَفْسَهُ وَ كانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْماءِ وَ الْمَاءُ عَلَى الْهَوَاءِ وَ الْهَوَاءُ لَا يَجْرِي.
Al Ayyashi – From Jabir, ‘From Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘Allah-azwj, Majestic is His-azwj Mention, and Holy are His-azwj Names, Created the earth before the sky, then Established upon the Throne [7: 54] in order to Manage the affairs’’. [80]
And from him, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, ‘From Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘Allah-azwj Blessed and Exalted is just as He-azwj had Described Himself-azwj, and His Throne was upon the water [11: 7], and the water was upon the air, and the air was not flowing’’. [81]
