ل، الخصال أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْعَجَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: خَمْسٌ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ كَثِيرُ مُسْتَمْتَعٍ الدِّينُ وَ الْعَقْلُ وَ الْأَدَبُ وَ الْحُرِّيَّةُ وَ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ.
(The book) ‘Al Khisaal’ – My father, from Sa’ad, from Ibn Yazeed, from Ismail Bin Quteyba Al Basry, from Abu Khalid Al Ajamy, From Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘Five, the one who does not happen to have in him, does not happen to have a lot of enjoyment in him – the religion, and the intellect, and the education, and the freedom, and good manners’’.
