قب، المناقب لابن شهرآشوب سُلَيْمَانُ الْجَعْفَرِيُّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع وَ الْبَيْتُ مَمْلُوءٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسْأَلُونَهُ وَ هُوَ يُجِيبُهُمْ فَقُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَكُونُوا أَنْبِيَاءَ
فَتَرَكَ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ يَا سُلَيْمَانُ إِنَّ الْأَئِمَّةَ حُلَمَاءُ عُلَمَاءُ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ أَنْبِيَاءَ وَ لَيْسُوا أَنْبِيَاءَ.
(The book) ‘Al Manaqib’ of Ibn Shehr Ashub – Suleyman Al Ja’fary said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza-asws, and the room was full from the people. They were asking him-asws and he-asws was answering them. I said within myself, ‘It is befitting if they (Imams-asws) were to be Prophets-as’. He-asws neglected the people, then turned towards me and said: ‘O Suleyman! The Imams-asws are forbearing scholars. The ignoramuses reckon them-asws to be Prophets-as, and they-asws aren’t Prophets-as’’. [149]
