Hadith 101

l Multiply it a million times along with their seeking Forgiveness! ’’[118]
(The book) ‘Ikhtiyar’ of Ibn Al Baqi –
‘From the Prophet-saww having said: ‘One who wants Allah-azwj to Answer his supplication, let him stand on the day of Sunday and perform Wud’u, and pray two Cycles Salat after Al Zohr, and he should say, ‘and I entrust my matters to Allah, surely Allah Sees the servants’ [40: 44]’, eleven times. Then he should begin in reciting Surah Al Anaam. When he reaches (the Words): and that is the manifest success [6: 16], saying secondly (again) ‘and I entrust my matters to Allah, surely Allah Sees the servants’ [40: 44]’, ten times. Then when he reaches: and Guided them to the Straight Path [6: 87], he should say, ‘Our Lord! Grant us good in the world and good in the Hereafter, and Save us from the Punishment of the Fire [2: 201]. O Allah-azwj! I ask You-azwj by the right of these Prophets-as, and by the right of Muhammad-saww the Chosen one! O Fulfiller of the needs! Fulfil my need in this very moment! ’
Then when he reaches: it is only a Reminder for the worlds [6: 90], he should say, (It is) You we worship and You do we seek Assistance (from) [1: 5], forty-six times. Then he should say, ‘Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws’. Then when he reaches between the majestic Messengers-as of Allah-azwj, he should say, ‘My God-azwj! Who is that who has supplicated to You-azwj but You-azwj did not Answer him? My-azwj God-azwj! Who is that who beseeched to You-azwj but You-azwj did not Mercy him? My God-azwj! Who is that who had cut off to You-azwj but You-azwj did not Connect him? My God‑azwj! Who is that who sought Your-azwj Help buy You-azwj did not Help him? My-azwj God-azwj! Who is that who sought Your-azwj Rescue but You-azwj did not Rescue him? My God-azwj! Who is that who implored You-azwj but You-azwj did not Hear his scream? My God‑azwj! Who is that who sought Your-azwj Forgiveness but You-azwj did not Forgive him? My‑azwj God-azwj! Who is that who sought Refuge with You-azwj but You-azwj did not Shelter him? My God-azwj! Who is that who relied upon You-azwj but You-azwj did not Suffice him? My-azwj God‑azwj! Who is that who cried out for help to You-azwj but You-azwj did not Help him? My-azwj God-azwj! Who is that who drew closer to You-azwj but You-azwj Distance him, and he fled to You‑azwj but You-azwj Yielded him? Oh, his seeking Succour with You-azwj! Oh, his seeking Succour, O Allah-azwj! Oh, his seeking Succour with You-azwj! O Allah-azwj! Oh, his seeking Succour, O Allah-azwj! Oh, his seeking Succour with You-azwj! O Allah-azwj! O Helper, Help me, and Delete my evil deeds from me! O Helper of the ones seeking Help with Your-azwj Mercy, O most Merciful of the merciful ones! ’’[119]
