Hadith 101

(The book) ‘Jamal Al-Usbou’ – He mentioned a report with this Salat and the supplication on the night of Saturday with a commentary and detail, and there is an increase in its beautiful supplication. We found it in books similar to it from the acts of worship reported from our Master Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws, may the best Salawaat be upon him-asws, and these are its words, ‘It is narrated to us by the noble Abu Ja’far Ahmad Bin Ibrahim Al-Alawy Al-Musawy, the captain at the Holy Enclosure (in Karbala), may the greetings be upon its dwellers. He said, ‘It is narrated to us by Abu Al Husayn Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan Bin Ismail Al-Iskaf, raising it by his chain to Al-Rabie who said, ‘(The caliph) Al-Rasheed summoned me at night. He said to me, ‘Go to Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws (and he-asws was being held in his prison), and release him-asws, and carry to him-asws such and such wealth, and from the loads (of gifts), and the garments similar to that! ’
I reiterated to him a few times and sought to understand him. He said, ‘O woe be to you! Do you want me to break the pact? ’
I said, ‘O commander of the faithful, and what pact? ’
He said, ‘While I was asleep when (in the dream) I was with a black snake, as big as it can be from the black snakes. It wrapped me and rode upon my chest, then said to me, ‘Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws in what you have imprisoned him-asws! ’ I said, ‘I shall release him and be good to him-asws! ’ It took the pact upon me and the covenant with that. Then it stood from my chest, and my soul had almost gone! ’
I went to Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws and found him-asws standing, praying Salat. I sat down until he-asws was free from his-asws Salat. I said to him-asws, ‘The son of your-asws uncle conveys the greetings to You-azwj and has instructed me to carry to you such and such from the wealth, and similar to that from the provisions, and here it is at the door! ’
He-asws said: ‘If you have been ordered with other than that, then do it! ’
I said, ‘No by Allah-azwj! By the right of your-asws grandfather-asws Rasool-Allah-saww! I have not been ordered except with this! ’
He-asws said: ‘As for the wealth and the provisions, there is no need for me-asws regarding these when rights of the community have been (usurped) in it! ’
I said, ‘I vow upon you-asws! Accept it, for I fear that he might be angered! ’
He-asws said: ‘Do whatever you see fit! ’
When I wanted to leave, I said to him-asws, ‘By the right of Allah-azwj and by the right of your‑asws grandfather-saww Rasool-Allah-saww! Please inform me this what has happened, for my right is obligated upon you-asws due to the place of my glad tidings (to you-asws)! ’
