فس، تفسير القمي وَ الْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوى قَالَ الْمُؤْتَفِكَةُ الْبَصْرَةُ وَ الدَّلِيلُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَوْلُ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ يَا أَهْلَ الْبَصْرَةِ وَ يَا أَهْلَ الْمُؤْتَفِكَةِ يَا جُنْدَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَ أَتْبَاعَ الْبَهِيمَةِ رَغَا فَأَجَبْتُمْ وَ عُقِرَ فَهَرَبْتُمْ مَاؤُكُمْ زُعَاقٌ وَ أَحْلَامُكُمْ دِقَاقٌ وَ فِيكُمْ خَتْمُ النِّفَاقِ وَ لُعِنْتُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ سَبْعِينَ نَبِيّاً
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ جَبْرَئِيلَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ طَوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضَ فَرَأَى الْبَصْرَةَ أَقْرَبَ الْأَرَضِينَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَ أَبْعَدَهَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَ فِيهَا تِسْعَةُ أَعْشَارِ الشَّرِّ وَ الدَّاءُ الْعُضَالُ الْمُقِيمُ فِيهَا مُذْنِبٌ وَ الْخَارِجُ مِنْهَا بِرَحْمَةٍ وَ قَدِ ائْتَفَكَتْ بِأَهْلِهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ وَ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَمَامُ الثَّالِثَةِ وَ تَمَامُ الثَّالِثَةِ فِي الرَّجْعَةِ.
Tafseer Al-Qummi – And the overthrown cities He Overthrew [53: 53], said, ‘The Overthrown city – Al-Basra, and the evidence upon that is the speech of Amir-al-Momineen-asws: ‘O People of Al-Basra! O people of the overthrown city! O people of the incurable disease! O followers of the beast! O army of the woman who foamed and you answered, and it was slayed and you fled. Your water is salty, and your religion is hypocrisy, and your dreams are (now) dust, and among you is the seal of hypocrisy, and you have been Cursed upon the tongues of seventy Prophets-as’. Rasool-Allah-saww informed me-asws that Jibraeel-as informed him-saww that the earth was rolled up for him-as, and he-as saw Al-Basra to be nearest of the lands from the water, and furthest from the sky, and in it were nine-tenths of the evil and incurable diseases. The resident of it is a sinner, and the one outside from it is with Mercy, and it has been overthrown twice along with its inhabitants, and it is upon Allah-azwj to complete the third, and the third overthrowing would be during the Return (Raj’at)’’. [48]
