aww. Abu Bakr came and Ali-asws was sleeping, and Abu Bakr reckoned that he-asws was the Prophet-saww. He said, ‘O Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj! ’
He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘Ali-asws said to him: ‘The Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj has gone towards the well of Maymoun’. So, Abu Bakr went and entered the cave with him-saww’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘And Ali-asws went on to be pelted with the stones like what the Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj had been pelted, and he-asws was writhing (in pain), having covered his-asws head in the cloth, not bring it out until morning. Then he-asws uncovered from his-asws head. They said, ‘You-asws are to blame. We were pelting your-asws companion, and he-saww was not writhing and you-asws are writhing, and we have disliked that’’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘And he-saww went out with the people regarding the military expedition of Tabuk’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘Ali-asws said to him-saww: ‘I-asws shall go out with you-saww’. The Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj said to him-asws: ‘No! ’ Ali-asws wept. He-saww said to him-asws: ‘But are you-asws not pleased that you-asws happen to be from me-saww at the status of Haroun-as from Musa-as, except you-asws aren’t a Prophet-as nor is it appropriate that I-saww should be going except and you-asws are my-saww caliph’’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘And Rasool-Allah-saww said to him-asws: ‘You-asws are my-saww guardian regarding every Momin from after me-saww’’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘And the closure of the doors of the Masjid other than the door of Ali-asws’. He (Ibn Abbas) said, ‘He-asws could entered the Masjid with sexual impurity, and it was his-asws path, there not being any path for him-asws other than it. And he-saww said: ‘One whose Master I-saww was so Ali-asws is his Master’. And he mentioned that he was a participant of Badr. I said, ‘And it is a merit, others had participated in it with him-asws, from the ones who had attended Badr, and the remainder, he-asws had been singled out with these’’. [105]
(The book) ‘Al-Amdah’ – By his chain to ‘Al-Musnad’, from Abdullah Bin Ahmad, from his father, from Yahya Bin Hammad, from Abu Awnah, from Abu Balh, from Umar Bin Maymoun – Similar to his-saww words: ‘So Ali-asws is his Master’’. [106]
Tafseer Furaat Bin Ibrahim – From Ahmad Bin Isa and Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan Bin Al Al Hulwany, from Abu Awanah – similar to it up to his words, ‘There was no path for him-asws other than it’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And he-saww held a hand of Ali-asws and said: ‘One whose Master I-saww was, so this Ali-asws is his Master. O Allah-azwj! Befriend the one befriending him-asws and be inimical to the one being inimical to him-asws’’. Ibn Abbas said, ‘And Allah-azwj has Informed us in the Quran that He-azwj was Pleased from the companions of the tree (Al-Hudaybiya), so can we narrated afterwards that He-azwj is Wrathful upon them? ’’[107]
